It seems like Cubex (or at least the designer who made their Huff) has swapped their factory and changed their name. At least they don't try to hide the fact, and their new design is a similar MP styled update to a minibot. I'm looking forward to seeing more, as despite his faults Cubex's Huff was still one of my favorite new toys this year. Well at least this Company gets it. Getting a bad rep should mean poor sales. They give these free sample to the reviewers and heck, if I get free sample and test shots, I wouldn't complain about the quality as much anyway. And sometimes it's not the reviewer fault cause these company mislead them, even after they gave them valuable feedback on what needs to be fixed. Crappy factories are going to produce crappy products and it's about time these company realize that their reputation is on the line. Invest in having your product made with better quality at quality production plants that give a damn if you want to charge the higher premium. At least with the quality being better, a customer don't have to feel ripped off. No more $100 toys that feel like $20 KO stuff please.

As soon as my interest is piqued they immediately shoot it down :/. If they're only offered as a two-pack then I'm out. I have no interest in getting two of the same figure, retools nonwithstanding.

They might sell it separately but still I'm betting each figure will be over $90.

They are using their FB page to communicate as much as possible. Huffer is a great figure but suffering from the bad qc some people encoutered. Now they changed to Badcube name + new factory. They should post today (august 1) some prototype pictures taken buy themselves. MP Brawn looks very nice and rubber coating on plastic wheels seems an inovative choice.
Now 3rd party companies are improving a lot in communication and try to give best efforts to deliver perfect item. Imo, this is a kind of luxuary market : close to customers, improving figures, quality, etc... I had talks with Gigapowers crew, Mechaform, MMC... All are giving their best. I allready worked with small companies in toy production : this not easy and cost arms. Diecast is top but tripple the production cost sometimes. Badcube is choosing diecast part only for joints : they don't want loose figures. Good !
About the preorders : "Brawny and Backland both have their own boxes much like Huff (oops 2nd rule). whoever orders BOTH* OTS-02 + OTS-03 during preorder period shall receive a 3rd package for free. it contains objects from the original show and did I say substitute face? sneak peek"

Fffff.... the more I look at these guys the more that I like them. They look to have a lot of that same cleverness that I appreciated in Huff. Beyond the obvious chest and head differences there's actually quite a lot that's different between the two; more than you'd think unless you looked closely at them - the forearms and shoulders are different parts, as are the thighs and feet (all are bigger on Brawny, it looks like, to make him look chunkier). It looks like there's at least some cleverness going on with the transformations as well, with the entire rear of the cars disappearing into the lower legs and the front of the car ... well, I suppose it HAS to go inside the chest, somehow, because the vehicle's roof and hood are the only visible vehicle parts in robot mode.
I'm seriously debating just biting the bullet and picking these up as a two pack anyway.

BadCube has priced out and is offering the MP Minibots sold separately now, so that's nice. $90 for Outback and $95 for Brawn, but if you buy them separately you don't get a bonus pack of accessories. Honestly I think I might just go ahead and get both of them - it's a quick about face, I know, but seeing more of these figures and how they're more than just head swaps of each other has managed to put aside my reservations.

Always hard to have a good view of white toys. Imo, I prefer light grey variations + little touch of white. That things is HUGE ! this was supposed to be a promising 3rd Party Masterpiece like skyfire/jetfire.....but after seeing it in youtube....its a big disappointment...wish they could re-issue it with a perfect transformation and fix the weak parts during transformation.....otherwise kudos for the effort!!!

I can skip Outback but Brawn is one of my favourite Transformers. I have the iGear version but this one is very tempting.
