LOL. I see you had some real fun there with both of these. Its really too bad your not a fan of the series and havent seen the anime yet. If you had you'd know that the Arbalest vs Laevatein battle would have gone the complete opposite results. Impossibilities aside since these mechs have never faced each other in combat (Arbalest actually gets destroyed before Laevatein gets built) and actually share the same pilot.....the Laevatein would have owned Arbalest's ass. A superior machine in almost everyway Arbalest would have been toast in this match early on. Good photos anyways.

Glad you liked it, Anyway I really didn't watched the series "although I had it in the palm of my hand back in 2007, but I accidentally Shift + Delete it thinking that it was Full Metal Alchemist after transferring it to DVD " , however I know a few things about the series like that Arbalest got demolished & that Laevatein is a Reconstruction for it & the the pilot name is Sousuke Sagara. The shots I took are totally irrelevant to the main story, as it is obvious that Laevatein is way Superior to Arbalest, but I wanted an opposite out come of to the viewer thoughts as the underdog can surpasses its Superior. ;D Look at the shots, first you can see that Laevatein is pounding Arbalest with ease due to its supremacy but Arbalest managed to pull the Victory at the End. Thanx

yeah if you ever do watch the anime start with second raid, its way better and you really dont need to watch the first half to get the second.

yeah if you ever do watch the anime start with second raid, its way better and you really dont need to watch the first half to get the second. I kind of disagree with you on that one. The 1st one i think is better developed than the second one. While the Second season of Full Metal Panic may have better animation and more fancy combat action, I think its essential for anyone to start with the first one to get more of the emotional punch between the two main characters, Sosuke and Kanami. Also if you dont bother with the first season you wont know who the heck shows up in the two last episodes. That antagonist that we all love and hate in Full Metal Panic. And what a great entrance and exit that character makes..... Invest time in both seasons if your interested in Full Metal Panic. Its totally worth it.

I dunno, i mean most of us and people in general will be looking at FMP expecting mecha action, instead you get like 6 episodes where litterally 3 min of actual slave action occurs!! I mean i dont mind the story portions, its just very missleading. Two of my buddies didnt even make it to the action due to FMPs pacing.
It all depends on what kind of an anime watcher you are though. If you like a lot of action and serious drama, than you will get turned off by the first season pretty quickly. I for one, enjoy the slapstick humor and light drama elements of the first season (and thoroughly enjoyed FMP fumoffu) but it kinda seemed out of place, which is why i bleive they made fumoffu and drastically changed the pacing of the second season which is very light on the comedy. Sure there is some build up of the main protagonist but honestly, you dont learn a whole lot about him in the first season anyway. And really, the relationship between the two main characters, is light hearted at best, it really shines in the second series.
While i enjoyed the full series i think that most poeple wont even make it to the second season due to the first one, because they will be expecting something totally different, i mean come on, nearly 6 episodes (if not more) till you even really see arbalest in action, and any other mecha for that matter. Just my 2 cents anyway.

Where the hell is Laevatein & Arbalest . Thanx If you're looking for the Laevatein you'll be sorely disappointed; it's not actually IN any of the FMP seasons, it's only in books. There's a much cooler bot though waiting to be introduced in the show though, which I'm quite shocked that Bandai or Kaiyodo haven't shown any intention of making... I mean, they'll do Boonta but not the Codarl? I call lame on that.

All I can say is where is my VENOM!!! Babilon, see I told ya lol Eh....what a lack of patience honestly. The 1st season for your information does include more engagements with the Arbalest than the second season. Not to mention by completely skipping the 1st season how the heck would you get the character exposition as well as the background stories between how Sagura first pilots the Arbalest? There is a reason why the first season has more episodes than the second season. Your lack of patience with this series reminds me of a friend of mine who decided to watch Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back first before watching a New Hope. Its all sequential my friends.... Whatever....its your loss.

hope your not talking about me because i have seen the first season. And i didnt say it was no good i just know most people wont have the paticene for it or simply might not be thier type of anime. BTW it does explain why Sagura pilots the arbalest and why hes the only one that can as well. I would also like to mention, the first 4 episodes of second raid show the arblest in much more action, hes cooler, faster, and flashier. You just dont see the lambada drive as much (which usually boils down to a lot of DBZ type powering up anyway lol)
Yes the first season does add to the overall experience, but you dont need to watch it to enjoy the full series, thats all im saying. Besides, how many animes out there arent full of plot wholes anyway lol!

So let me get this stright, There is no Laevatein in the anime !!! Now I have wasted the bandwidth of my internet connection at home just to watch the series without the thing that attracted me the most to it. Now sombody please convince me to continue with the anime. I think Laevatein is the only yamaguchi that is made that is not in an animation.... Correct me if I am wrong !!!!

Now sombody please convince me to continue with the anime. I think Laevatein is the only yamaguchi that is made that is not in an animation.... Correct me if I am wrong !!!! Yes thats correct. The Laevatein hasnt yet showed up in the anime yet. There are currently three seasons of Full Metal Panic that have been produced. The second being complete filler. There will be a fourth season of Full Metal Panic that is expected to be produced sometime within the next three years. Most fans speculate that this fourth season that will feature the Laevatein wont begin production until the manga series is finished. This being the case, its time for the waiting game. Your pretty impatient arent you BaBiLoN? And no Laevatein is not the only revoltech to have been made without gracing an anime series before being released. The Protect Gear (Red Spectaclesversion) revoltech figure and Eva Unit 05 Provisional version are two that have never really featured in anime prior to their release as figures in the Revoltech line. The former stared in some light novel and manga, while the latter was just conceptual art that was released alongside the new Evangelion 2.0 movie. P.S. Mechamasterj I am aware that you saw the first season of FMP. I was just referring to BaBiLoN's impatience to get through 1st Season. You hit all the right points with your last response. Its true that many animes out there are full of plot holes, but eh, for me thats not good enough of an excuse to get me to skip one whole season to get into a franchised anime series. But to each their own i guess. ;D

Waahoooo Anybody can feel the heat here !!!! ;D Anyway my thought is that when I watch a series of any kind the whole idea about it is to enjoy it A to Z....... Now why would I have to be patience with things that I didn't enjoy !!! No disrespect to FMP but I really didn't like the action so far in the first episodes, and my question is that.... At what episode Sagura start to pilot the arbalest !!!! Thanx

At what episode Sagura start to pilot the arbalest !!!! Thanx LOL. I sure hope you do have the patience FMP through. The shows main unique characteristic is mixing up high school comedy with fast mecha action. Its a precarious balance but the invested time in the series definitely pays off. I had a friend of mine who was a complete anime outsider who was introduced to this series just a month ago. He loved it due to the suspense, high-octane action and comedy inter-spliced at key moments. Its a good series. To answer your question. Arbalest action begins at the end of Episode 6. From there on Sosuke pretty much drops being an M9 pilot and becomes a full time Arbalest pilot. And i do so love the villain in 1st Season of FMP much better than the 2nd Seasons. Gauron is aweome! P.S. 1st Season of FMP does have a Laevatein connection right at the very beginning. Remember that girl that Sosuke rescues within the first few minutes of episode 1 in the USSR? She will later become instrumental in figuring out the logistics with building the new Laevatein. LOL. Judging from the episode though, i always thought she actually died. Apparently not. ;D
