I haven't thoroughly read the entire debate between RJ member A and RJ member B. I don't blame you  I wouldn't go through this myself! In the real world, there are three sides to every story: This person's side, That person's side, and the TRUTH. I love this! 100% true. In this hobby, regarding the Go Nagai robots being discussed here, there are three sides to this anime genre: >Go Nagai's side (which he never explains enough of. even His own work runs way ahead of him!) >The Fans side (whatever we get out of it, and can barely keep up with, in the end result until new stuff keeps coming along.) >and our IMAGINATIONS. That's cool too, but I am always direct: -When someone says "it doesn't make sense." it means either of the following: - 1) The writer is a wacko. 2) The reader's mind has limited understanding/or imagination.No insults here, but it is the ONLY explanation for "it doesn't make sense." cuz making sense is the brain's job; so, I either have one or not! There are better ways to say, "I don't like the idea!" Simply like, "I have another theory." or like highlighting points I don't understand and need an explanation from the writer! Judging something by saying, "It doesn't make sense!" is a kinda of insult to the writer. Though, I am not upset cuz I am pretty sure I ain't a wacko  Again, no offend to anyone...it's just my explanation to "it doesn't make sense.";D Peace. |

I understand what you mean. And perhaps you took that like a surprizing hit when the person said that. Let's think this out for a moment. (I apply this to Everyone here, myself included)... When someone says "it doesn't make sense", it doesn't always mean the two items you pointed out above ( "the writer's wacko..." - "the reader's mind has limited
or no imagination...") ( Side Note: What doesn't make sense?

...now THAT is some weeeeird sh*t!) ;D And it's not meant as anything personal towards you, not in this case scenario with the topics of this thread. ...perhaps the person who said that may have been confused about some items you've express in your topic, and so that person may be asking you to clarify what you're discussing so they'll have a better understanding of your presentation. Another thing, too, some of us here may not have a full command of the english language and have difficulty articulating their counterpoint or request for clarification of information... The same goes when they make their presentations also. ...that even shows in how some folks type their comments here in these threads. Nobody's perfect. No one here is trying to insult you, and if they have then I'm faithful they didn't mean it- they'll feel in their heart to apologize to you once they realize they may have mis-stated their views. I'm also faithful that you didn't offend anyone here, you're doing your best to express your views and that is all well appreciated. We're only human, and we all do our best to present our views and share ideas with one another here at RJ. For the most part, this is all a very good exchange of communication we have here. Dammage 7, don't take this as an attack, but you beat me when it comes to being a Super Robot fanatic. As a die-hard fan of Mazinger Z/Great Mazinger/Mazinkaiser, I'll always stand up for my favorite super robots as long as I can provide actual anime/manga evidence of what I am stating/writing. A lot of times, I also have to yield to the facts that there might not be anything "official" to back up my claims.
I noticed that when it comes to Grendizer, you will pull no punches, even with non-existen/non-official claims as where the robot stands in terms of power, durability, and now, status in Go Nagai's Mazin World. Of course, it was derived from Mazinger Z, as was Great Mazinger and Mazinkaiser. Of course God Griffon? (is this even an official manga?) had nothing to do with the creation of Mazinger Z or Great Mazinger. Why try to change the way things are??? Please understand that many of us like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Mazinkaiser a lot more than Grendizer and also have our points of view.
Remeber, other than "official" stuff, everything else are just fans' opinions, and everyone has his/her own...

I do have to say, you definitely are Grendizer's number 1 fan!

oh no no.... i didn't mean in anyway to atk him of some sort if thats what you think, if thats the case i apologies if anyone understood it that way. Is just that when i see theories that for some strange reason try to favor a mecha to the point of been first and better than anything and has no weaknesses is extremely going way overboard. Just like the dizer-evolution, dizer-god, dizer-universal theories, now thats exaggeration to the point of been ridiculous. btw, the spacer also gets busted with vega beam, doesn't make any different to me if it is made chogokin new z or space alloy gren because its all about plot story. remember that they are things that the creators never explain to us, even if there books about it or reference to the shows they contradict to each other and thats a fact that no one can deny. -as for the pic update- why can't someone make grendizer dam base bigger for a SoC version  . |

I know you are a good guy! That's why I said in my past explanation post that there is not offend to anyone...I am only defining the term "no sense"...you know what I mean? For the dam, they will sell other parts later to form the Space Research Institute w/ Spazers bases as well. You may also enjoy these photos (French fan made)      In progress... those bases are the coolest thing ever! XD  I was drooling when I saw the photos! He just needs to create that shutter shield for the Space Researches Institute and put some bowl of water in front of it as a lake and we have a real location Someone says there are better fan works! I will try to bring more photos. Voted for Grendizer and i said this before and i'll say it Again Bandai Needs to do a Remake of the GX-04 or an SRC Grendizer I think they should do a SRC Grendizer, but perhaps they are worried about the High Dream competition because Metaltech Spazer w/ the new Dizer head is coming out soon!  What I really wish to see is (like I said before) a die cast set in realistic mecha forms for Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, UFO Robo Grendizer and Mazinkaiser with scales according to the Mazinger Bible [18cm, 25cm, 30cm, 23cm]. A 30cm God Mazinger statue wouldn't be bad too...but not necessary as it's not related to Kabuto's world. |

I think it would be nice to get the robots in their scale too. I think it will look strange to have an 18 cm Mazinger and a 30 cm Shin Mazinger in the same group. I guess that if a Shin Great Mazinger was made the toy figure would be over 30 cm too.

For me, I always aside God Mazinger, Shin Mazinger Z and Mazinkaizer SKL from the Mazinger Trilogy meches (Z, Great & Dizer). The only natural addition to the set for me is Mazinkaiser, because it's simply a 3rd generation of the Mazins from Kabuto's world. When I said "set" I meant the real-life Kabuto world not the entire Mazinger canon  Also, I would love them to have some realistic mecha look (with mechanical details and metal plates 'n parts), something like the restyled GT Group photos perhaps... + Some electric lights would be cool! I want the real super robots to come to life LOL!   |

will see new highdream metaltech Grendizer "with its new head" once its finished.. but it seems the head is bigger but yet the body is thin compared to the head. the metaltech one is good for what its worth "Much cheaper" than the GX-04 "i don't like the elbow joint on the metaltech" should be like the SRC Mazinger Z one" which is much better .. but the GX-04 Still looks better imo and its almost 10 years old now and if any Grendizer chogokin that's gonna look better than the GX-04 is by Bandai it self, and i was excited about the whole teaser of "GX-58" that was supposed to be Grendizer only to turn out but a Rumor or fake. still one can hope for an SRC one or a Remake SOC *fingers crossed* Chachipowers Review of the Metaltech Grendizer |

I know the original SRW Mazinkaiser was supposed to be Mazinger Z evolved by Getta Rays, but I rather stick with the OVA version which is 23 meters tall. Anyway, don't pay attention to size since Mazinkaiser still is Go Nagai's most powerful and indestructible mecha. Never damaged and never defeated! }D |
