Quite honestly I say that this version depicts the very essence of the anime...... not the bare bones Impact and konami versions..... you really shouldnt say you like anime accuracy, you should be saying you like straight to the point (and possibly boring) mechanical drawings of figures, which arguably is how most robots were done up until recently. There was some cad drawing of it and the toy based off of that they didnt think about adding the styling found in the actual source material. Secondly for someone who doesnt like flashy version of this guy you are sure in this thread a lot. anyway im not here to start a fight or battle but I just have to point this out..... depending on how you viewed the anime........ its as accurate as you want it to be....... so stop hatin and buy one already. to everyone else once you see all the engineering that goes into this companies toys you will see why they are cost a bit more then the rest........ and again....... just about all toys have already gone considerably above the 30 mark.... only about figma and revol techs have sort of stayed within that price range...... |

Well, it is a good thing I can visit and post in any thread I so wish then, isn't it. Is just funny how people get all bent all out of shape when they don't like the same things others do and voice their own oppinions (I'm guilty as charged). ;D Nevertheless, I will always post my own oppinions, not just blindly follow others. You sure make a lot of asumptions about what styles I like or anime I've watched (or not). Funny...  Just keep this thread on the figure and let everyone express their views. It is the best thing to do. ;D }D |

Lol your right had a long week and rough night when I wrote that, I just felt you weren't giving is fig a fair shot for the wrong reason. True its based on my opinion but really man the company (though only releasing three variants of the same figure) have proven themselves in this industry. If you ever get your hands on a Delphine you will see why I mean it's a truly awesome piece of engineering. All I'm saying Is give it a shot, now price is another thing... I just hate to see an avid toy collector such as myself miss out on something that promises to be great. Anyway sorry if I offended you just speaking my mind is all

I've meet enough collectors through interaction from forums to trade shows and also made some friends from this hobby and if there is one thing that I've learned over the years is to be considerate and tolerate of others. People don't have to like the same thing. It's what make collections unique. It's also the reason I don't go recommending stuff to people or offer them advice on what to buy. They should decide that for themselves because it's their collection, not mines.
Only point I'm trying to make is that it doesn't matter if you think the price of this figure is too high and you pass on it for that reason or that you passed on it because you have reasons to dislike it. It's sold out, and sold out so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to pre order one from amiami or hobbyseach. Was lucky to have seen quinjester post on halloween day and was able to order one from HLJ. HLJ stopped preorders too a couple of days ago.

Didn't know about the preorder until now.... stupid sticky revoltech thread.... I always check this subforum but I keep forgetting that the revoltech thread is just stuck there and that there is movement below the stickys....
Damn it, I really want this one.
Guess you can know if you want something when you get really pissed when missing a preorder...
Anybody know were else to get it? This one smells like future Ebay ass rape.

And it's not more expensive than at AmiAmi, colour me surprised. Though it seems pre-ordering at Anime-Export is a gamble. If you want to take a safer route, Ami-Ami just opened a pre-order for the May restock too. Exact same price as Anime-Export : 7240 yen (~US$94). I didn't want it. I thought it looked classy cool, but I already have Konami's Great Impact, which Sentinel's effort doesn't beat. But I'm a sucker for stylish redesigns (hi there, Fewture!) and all the hype here just pushed me over the edge. d**n peer pressure, it's like high-school all over again. ;D |

I hear you, It does look very, very cool, but I just can't get myself to overlook the non-anime accurate styling, and for over $100 USD, it is a big thing for me.
Oh well, I'll just wait for someone to quit their hobby and put it up for sale at half price some day in the not so near future... ;D
