Is it coming with the Big Drill? Or is that the one from the Bandai Ver. Ka. one?

The giant drill is from the Ver. Ka release. The Riobot comes with the two smaller, pointier drills shown just before the huge one in the above link  I'm definitely looking forward to this guy - it's a pity I wasn't able to get in on the first production, but I'm happy that I"ll be able to get it at all. All of the engineering shown in these photos is reminding me a lot of the RioBot Delphine which was a work of art in terms of moving parts at a small size. Gurren Lagann does not look like he'll disappoint. |

Just found out Delphine was done by chemical while Eva was studio reckless which explains the lack of engineering

Dayuuuum! Looks tasty.
Why couldn't AmiAmi get more stock? Either I grab one from HLJ now, or stick with my pre-order at AmiAmi for 17 bucks cheaper a month or two later... or go for both. No... can't go for both.

It's got to be one of the best if not best action figures out there but sadly there's no amount of chogokin in it but i must stress a point is that it's beautiful beyond words. The paint job, engineering and poses it's able to do it's all fantastic. A caution to people that have or considering it is to check for the head and chest eyes movement. I've gotten one that can't/couldn't move from left to right due to probably some tight connections in the chest/torso area but no biggie as there's a fix that's included in the instructions manual, but still check yours for any other problems pertaining to the head, chest/torso eye movement. |

I wasn't planning on getting this guy at all. Didn't follow this thread and thought I am perfectly satisfied with my Revoltech GL collection. But just saw that video review and my jaw kind of dropped, as this is the first time I am exposed to the Riobot joints engineering. Even if the price is very high, I think it will be worthwhile just to have one, and being the main robot of one of my favorite recent mecha shows helped too. Lucky enough to secure a preorder at amiami on the 2nd batch. Hope this is as good as it appears...and totally an impulsive buy.

Second run according to Amiami is supposed to be out in September. I have been following this since the colored pictures of it showed up. I was tempted to reorder this again from hlj.com a couple of days back. I previously had the order from Hlj but cancelled it when amiami listed the second production order. I also have the Revoltech Gurren Lagann and its just not cutting it for me. Never like revoltechs. The joint system just flat out suck, paint apps is sloppy and the sculpt isnt all that great. I mean, pick up a SH Figurarts, Robot Damashi, Figma and even D-Arts and play around with those then go back to a Figma and you will understand what I mean when I say that the joint system on Revoltech sucks. I Pretty much sold off most of the Revoltechs that were profitable and store the rest away until I can either recover my cost or whenever my nephew become of age whichever comes first. Just cause I don't like them doesn't mean I'll sell them at a loss. Oh well back to waiting. One more month or so to go. |
