Hi guys, I didn't take time to introduce you my new website : CHOGOKING.comThis website is separated in 2 parts : • NEWS : it's like a blog about Mechas (toys, publishings, art...) Sorry it's in French but I will soon add a 3-language-button (French / English / Japanese)... not easy. • GARAGE : it's a personnal mecha design showroom... but I am very busy by work this month, so I will take time later to upload this section with Mecha models. I'm using a different nickname for Mecha design : SCHEMA... (don't ask). I got a Schema's flickr too (posted pictures from the website.) Hope you appreciate this little contribution for mecha's world. ^__^ |

Nice! I gotta check it out. I won't ask, but I'll assume "SCHEMA" is kinda like a latin word for "schematics"... like a blueprint, a diagram, or a mechanical drawing of a machine's components. That's very Clever wordplay. Keep up the good work!  --------- Late edit: I just checked it out... Man, I luv all that artwork! I especially like the one about "Modern Wife"... it's a simple drawing with a very powerful statement and a straight-forward clear message. I also enjoy that Tranformer model (in the "Hot!" page). I see you understood the message about the future robot-dolls conditions...
The Transformers model is rodimus.... I wrote an article about the forthcoming Fansproject Protector.
This picture is a kind of preview of a custom-made Shatered Glass Rorimus I have to do for the Shadow Scythe Armor.
(yes, I bought it ^__^)
Using a clear Rodimus from Sons of Cybertron pack, it will be a Black clear version.
BTW... I do not uploading pictures I have allready done, I try to fill my blog part everyday
with new illustrations... but today will be empty. Too much work to complete (freelance mercenary).

About lightings, I try to "desaturate" on light -> keep regular color in shadow -> it gives a kind of sunny light.
I have to change colors in shadow when I will be fixed about my background
-> ground color + direct light color (sun) afect caracters shadows.
I will probably use this picture as a fake packaging... next surprise.

Thanks Guys. I used to work with friends who are working on cartoon and comics... I also pushed a lot to understand how to put light and shadows on my drawings... Last time, I did a Grimlock quick paint (directly on screen) for a post about TFC Dino-combiner I wanted just to test my new cintiq tool (art-pen marker). This pictures is quick made (drawing base is a little bit weak).  www.chogoking.com/post-52-graaaaah.html... I have to finish my Insecticons Alternate form... but works is taking all my time T__T I am working on something really cool (and BIG), but I can tell anything because of copyright and embargo contract. You will know ASAP... once it will be officially launched. Just 2 words : movie, mecha... Then you will get a W.I.P. you will enjoy (to thanks RJ members to share mecha news everyday). |

I played a part in the G1 Uppers "Menasor head affair" ^__^ and tried something different, close to G1 shape with an Animated touch, avoiding the "trucker" big chin (TF Animated gimmick)...  Enjoy (or not) ! |

I really like to draw Transformers heads... I have to finish the Decepticons poster. Then I will produce silkscreen posters for both versions (need to find a good paper for it...) Remember the Autobot one :  I also quick drawn a new avatar :  |
