To pre-order, or not to pre-order... that's the question.
I got a raise this month, but I'm afraid I'll waste it with the current summer classes... I'm afraid if I waited to long, I'll waste the opportunity to get it. If only the shipping costs were not that costly, or the figures would be a bit cheaper... or at least give a space between each release.

I am not pre ordering this, again, robotkngdom forces you to use paypal and pay them up front. Instead, I will buy it once they get it in stock and is ready to ship. On the flip side, if they do run out after they get them in, I can always get it at bbts or tfsource for a mere 10$ more. I mean robotkingdoms price with shipping included is around $95, the same as what bbts and tfsource has it at. But buying from tfsource or bbts means 10$ additional for shipping, right around the 110$.

I won't be worried about this running OOS on preorder. While this is the top entry in many collectors' must-have list, many are also hesitant to plop down a huge chunk of cash upfront. Personally, I'm waiting for a possible boxset once all 6 are released. There's also G2 orange and yellow recolors to look forward to.

If anyone dumb enough to spend 500+ bucks per set on 3 sets of recolors.

I went ahead and pre-rdered the plastic ba$t*rd from RK. It cost me $97.83, but it's not like the first time I buy a thing with this price.
But now, I'll have to wait before I get DOTM game and inFamous 2.

The new photos show something else I really like: articulated head (more neck range of motion means cooler poses)... But where did his "tail" go?

Yeah, it is removable. There are some pics out there showing it attached to that hole in his arm, but I can't find them.

The cab is removable... to better handle the gun. Good idea (same for the shovel). But why having two different colored guns ?...

From that image, it looks like you HAVE to remove the cab when you transform him, as it pegs into his hand and is "held". That's a huge bummer. I'm getting less and less impressed with the individual robots and their price, but damn if I know I'll regret it if I don't get the full combiner . ARGH.

The cab has a peg on it that looks to be the same size as the guns so you can just plug it onto his back like how the red gun is stored on the top pic.
Not sure about the red gun, but looking at the purple one I'm thinking all six guns combine to form one big gun for Devastator who's gun is purple.

What? Devy's fist is going to be a parts-former?! lame! I thought at this scale (and I still think the main selling point of this Devy will be the simple fact that he'll be bigger than any previous rendition of him), there should be no need for parts-swapping...

I pretty much expected parts swapping when I saw it at botcon. Just didn't see a way for them to hide the fist inside the threads/legs. Still, that reason alone won't stop me from getting this. The only thing I am worried about right now is that they haven't shown the development of the left arm and leg. What I fear is that they might just recolor this exgraver and their version of motormaster and sell them as the last two pieces.

What I fear is that they might just recolor this exgraver and their version of motormaster and sell them as the last two pieces. For sure they won't... This is one of the most expected forthcoming Transformers release (by all TF FANS), Surely TFC has scheduled the 6 different Cons, but the 2 last guys are maybe not finished (3d meshe or 3d printed for prototype)... And they were pretty busy with their "Targetmasters", scholar Prime, the 4 known Deva's members and the Reflector trio. TFCON was here to squize the schedule too ! Doing recolor will be the best way "to shoot themselve in the foot". Fans have no mercy for that kind of release, because they are 3rd Party Company, means they have to improve themselve a lot when trying to enter the Transformers toy world... IMHO, I like the way 3rd PT companies like TFC, FP or Igear putting a lot to make toys we want/like. They are young companies and need our support (money, money, money) to succed their projects. It doesn't matter if there are some defaults, they will learn (with our help and critics) to improve their productions and skills and give us (for the future) the best toys matching Transformers world (and reducing production costs after mass succes). <[^__^]>

And why would they even release the last two as recolored versions of other figures when they've putted so much effort on their other releases?! It doesn't make sense for me.

Opps, I mean mixmaster. I am not saying that it will happen, I am just saying that it can happen. And the most cost effective way to make a profit when it comes to Transformers is doing repaints.
