For GaiKing: Here is the current wing rendering I am shooting for this Jumbo for its size and look.

The Gaiking wing would be awesome. The insert area for the Missile Launching mechanism would be a great place to build the mount for it. Either a friction insert as either clips or a rectangle the same shape size as that area. This was one of the things I was going to build for my custom Gaiking. But I'd be happy to see what you come up with as I've little to no practice in plastic/mold fabrication. The wing design is pretty simple it was the rounded cylinder in the center that had me scratching my head in how to approach. And if your Custom Delta Wing is any measure of your skill the wing ought to be fantastic. (I dug for the official name myself and came up empty handed).
I'd love, Love, LOVE to have a Popy BowFist. I really dislike the Iron Cutter/Launcher for both the Asymmetric feel it imposes on Raydeen. And the fact that it's so heavy it doesn't fire very far (unlike the Gaiking fist).. Plus the launcher is pretty delicate and prone to cracking.

I have a Dragun (see my restore thread)last edition sans the arm blades & with the lightning decals legs. if you're interested. Repro decals but otherwise in very nice condition. And the Axe Thrower works.

Thought I would post an early pic of the Jet piece. The wing will be 3 pieces: the attachment piece into the oval hole that shoots GaiKing's missles, the main wing itself, and then the jet piece.
The attachment piece is pretty much done, am deciding which way to go for fitting the pieces together. Either by screws or try to snap them together. Am thinking screws for easier molding.
Am hoping to get molds going by Friday for the pieces. The wing is a flat design and I think making a pour mold will be easier than getting red plastic and trying to cut it to size.

Oh man, this is gonna be schwEEt!
I gotta dig my Great Mazinga (2nd vers.) out of storage so I can try on the Condors you sent me. I also need to build his thighs from scratch using a pair of shampoo bottles... they're already made, but I gotta mold the pyramid-shaped sword scabbards which go on the sides of Great Maz's thighs. I'd better jump on this asap. ;D

Some progress made today. Got the back attachment piece cleaned up and in the mold right now.
Have the wing in the mold process as well. Hoping it comes out good as the Oomoo silicone seemed to set up a little faster than normal. I was playing with my new vacuum pump and may have played too long with de-gassing the silicone.

Not sure how to Attachment more than one pic at a time and haven't gotten around to load the photos to my web site yet.

great work on the Raydeen Delta Missile Launch Pin cast. Does it work as good as the original?

That Lego mold box sure looks Heart-warming! ;D I can't wait to continue my work today, but I gotta rest before i go to work later this evening. It's been a very long night for me on my project. That insert looks Badass. "Oomoo" silicone, fast-setting? I'll have to look it up. I like the Alumilite brand, but if the Oomoo brand sets faster then perhaps I can get more work done in a shorter time period. Awesome work, keep it up! ---------------- Late Edit:WOW! I just looked it up; the Oomoo 25 works and sets really FAST (75 minute curing time). The Oomoo 30 cures in 6 hours. Either one works faster than my Alumilite HS3 silicone rubber which cures in a minimum time of 18 hours. I think I'll try a gallon of this Oomoo rubber when I get my Tax Refund! ;D zozo-Mag

There is very little difference between 1st and 2nd edition launch pins... I now have them both.

I just looked it up; the Oomoo 25 works and sets really FAST (75 minute curing time). The Oomoo 30 cures in 6 hours. Either one works faster than my Alumilite HS3 silicone rubber which cures in a minimum time of 18 hours. I think I'll try a gallon of this Oomoo rubber The Oomoo 30 is nice for not needing to de-air and pours nice. But, it is a little soft and more squishy than their Sort Clear 40 platinum cure silicone. Was hoping for a little stiffer molds. The Oomoo may be better used to single cavity mold to pour into. I wouldn't trust it for larger 2 piece molds as I have done with their Sorta Clear 40, but it really needs a vacuum pump to de-air it or will spend much time rotating the cup to break and pop air bubbles little by little. And it has a long curing time. I have been working mainly with the Smooth-On brand due to the variety of selection. But, can be hard to narrow the resin choices. So far I like the 325 series "true color cast" over the 320 series, as can't make a true white with it with the white colorant. Otherwise, the 320 series stuff is wonderful. I got some Task 9, but is a little thicker than the 300s for detail work and can leave air bubbles. Also, bought some of their 45D, but haven't used it much, I was going to use it for some of the condor ships to be slightly flexible. I need to play with it again. Also, got their roto-cast 65 for some Raydeen fists, but haven't opened it up yet.

Believe the wing mold. I need to load up the pictures yet to my web site This is Oomoo 30 used for it. Took 2 pounds of mold, pretty much the whole trial size cans.

Oh, and if you see something on ebay that I have listed, like the Raydeen replacement part or Maginga brain ship.
Shoot me a PM or e-mail at bourno (at) teambac.com and I will work out a better RJ member price or I tend to toss in something extra like a not perfect Mazinga ship, Raydeen missile, might be a test piece.
I have a few Raydeen shooter pieces that the end 1/16" to 1/8" didn't mold due to a small air bubble (got that figured out now) and a couple pieces that are more purplish when first playing around. I will give those away at shipping and packaging cost. Not all of them, as need to share the wealth around for any others interested.
Happy hunting and collecting

Wow, so you're using a lot of Oomoo's brand products. Cool! After browsing their website I couldn't believe all the eye-candy I saw there. They have a much better variety of products than the Alumilite brand, that's fer sure. I like how these objects are turning out; Thanks for showing! Keep it up! We haven't seen this much Jumbo love excitement around here in a long time. If I see anything I might need at your ebay page I'll PM you. zozo-Mag

Me too, but I've had horrible luck this weekend on some silicone setting up.
Found that platinum silicone does not like Rustoleum Gloss Enamel that I was using on the jet piece. After some testing today, I discovered that is what caused a gooey mess around around the casting piece. The silicone did like almost every thing else for paint, Lustercote, Rustoleum primer, Krylon Fusion, Matte Clear paint, Turtle Wax ..... LOL. Very frustrating time. So, I have done a re-primer job and will coat with then some Matte Clear.
So.... should be able to get the first of the 2 part mold going again tomorrow afternoon or evening. And then the second part of the mold on Tuesday evening.
I plan on dyeing the plastic for the greatest durability and no flaking or scratching off of paint. I want to do the Jet and Wing pours at the same time to have the best plastic color match. If I did them separate, I am sure there would be subtle color difference.
In a nutshell, am 2 days behind currently due to the paint/silicone issue. Was hoping to pour tomorrow, but now looks as the earliest may be Wednesday night.
Stay tuned...
