That is so cool. I love seeing the process of making things, even more so when it is jumbo parts!

Well, I have to take a look at the list. I believe I have you down for one, Dave, and maybe a couple other items. I am starting to get to items, just had to redo my bowfist mold and then this one. Some point this year, I want to take individual photos of my jumbos and create a new Jumbo Page that showcases all of them instead of a group shot and only stories of ones that I did work on them to fix up. I have also debated on whether to show more on my molds and methods on producing the parts (I have done a little more on newer items for a few teasers, but not the whole process). I most likely stepped a little on Derik's toes when I first started to do repro work by doing some Mazinga condors and swords as was making some for myself and selling on ebay. But, after a bit of time, I decided to branch out to items that weren't being done by someone else. So, I do feel a little reluctant to publicly show things and not have someone doing the same items that I have to offer. Though, I do like to keep moving forward, and there are some older items that I have some resistance on wanting to make again, LOL. If someone does want to do some molds and such, I have privately helped others when they have asked. Would have never guessed that I would have the collection of molds that I have today from when I started almost three years ago. There are some rarer jumbo items that I wish I had and could make repro of. I may make a "hidden" page to share, but not make a public link on my web site. Hate to lose ideas / methods / resins for general making. While I didn't know Dan ( www.collectiondx.com/article/memory_dan_and_nadia_webber ) as I came on the boards afterwards, would have loved to seen what he had all made for members, back in that time. Am sure there are a bunch of members that miss BSing with him. Thanks for all the opportunities on assisting with needed parts and buying some of my custom creations I have a list of new items that I want to do, and hoping to get that going this Spring/Summer to share with you guys

I don't suppose you make and sell those Daimos cuffs? LOL Great work! Which Daimos cuffs? I can make and sell both flavors I assume the General Daimos looking ones www.teambac.com/shogun_warriors/General_Daimos_cuff.htmlI made the Geneal cuffs to upgrade the Mattel jumbo. For them, I used my smaller Mazinger fist and shooting insert. The regular sized fist wouldn't fit. For my own modified Daimos, I stole a right arm off to swap onto another left. I haven't made a repro shooting lower arm, but was tossing the idea about for doing. I have recently made a "ball" piece to possibly modify the left shoulder.

Next time you're about to pour something, have a video camera set up to catch that curing process as the material changes from liquid to solid. That's IF the plastic material has a decently fast curing time (the way resin does in 10-15 seconds). Start the camera rolling before you prep the mixture, then go ahead and do your casting procedure while the video captures everything. After the material has cured solid, stop the camera... ...Then edit the video so we can only watch the scene where the material changes from liquid to solid. It would be fun to watch! zozo-mag

That looks like a pile of Daimos cuffs and a set of Dangard wings sitting on the counter in the last picture. Are those drawers labeled for parts or molds? Dang! Either way that is impressive

That looks like a pile of Daimos cuffs and a set of Dangard wings sitting on the counter in the last picture. Are those drawers labeled for parts or molds? Dang! Either way that is impressive You are correct Joe on both accounts. The pile of fifteen General Daimos conversion cuffs were from resin amount needed for casting them up and also each one has the color formula used with it. Most new color items, I may go through 10 to 20 slightly different formulas to decide which one I like the best. In some cases, a drop, one way or the other is really hard to decide upon as the blowmold plastic can look a little different from various light sources.
And there is a couple Dangard wings laying there as well. I decided to re-visit the wings after tabling them for a good time. I worked on modifying the way they attach to the back of Dangard. The originals were "forced" snapped into place with the blow molded wing and why you see that area of the wings usually warped and dented up to make fit. With the hard resin, that wasn't going to work well, so made that area differently to fit smoothly.
The drawers contain the different molds. I did a quick count and have around 95 molds for individual parts. Granted, there are a few items that are made from 3 to 4 pieces. And there is a small number of molds that I haven't even made casts from yet.

Awesome man. Thanks for sharing. Yeah to echo Truecrud I picked up a set of the Popy-style Daimos cuffs for my WIP Daimos conversion and they are absolutely stellar! What a huge difference they make In the appearance. Bourno's work is absolutely too notch. And he's a hell of a nice guy to deal with also. Get a set. You'll not be disappointed.

That's quite the work shop!! As far as I'm concerned, it's now called "Santa's Work Shop" because I get excited every time I get a package from there!!

Man, that workshop screams at me with such awesome epic Drool factor. I wish I had a workspace like that! zozo-mag Yeah, the shop was the item that sold me on buying the house. I keep saying I need to clean it up more, and that may require boxing up some old hobby stuff that I still have laying about and on tables.

Here is a favorite view of mine when making parts. Sometimes I think about scraping off all those drips, but is a good reminder of all the repro work done to help complete or repair a good deal of old jumbos. And if I thought about cleaning it later, Tony would say "Hell No !!!"
