In general, since this is kind of new, I am trying to get some of the members who have been here the longest and are still very active interviewed first. Also, I am trying to get different collection styles represented (i.e., vintage chogokin collectors, transformer collectors, modern robot collectors, machinder collectors, Gundam collectors, etc.). But really, I can interview anyone that is interested in participating.

Catching up on the last few interviews, and MAN! you guys are a delight to hear from, and read about. I can only hope to be half as coherent when answering questions, lol. Such great shots, and nice to hear the variety of living situations, family, and stories of growing up in different areas. So great! @ Sal7, love love love, the shots with the big scale ships, and the lovely lovely stack of DX box suitcase sets, as others have admired. @ Quinjester, ..."MAGPIE MENTALITY" ! That's a Perfect description for some of us! hahaha thanks for the support! |

I had to do some catching up on these.
Very good reads. I love to hear how different people got started in the hobby and their different perspectives on collecting their toys.

For future reference of more Fun ahead...
know what would be cool?
...I don't know how the RJ main website would handle
the bandwidth, perhaps just host the links to Youtube...
...I'm talkin about video Interviews ... the questions
can be answered on camera, filmed by the person being interviewed
so he / she can then up it to youtube or RJ or whereever
and you post the links.
Would be fun to visually interact with all the fun and humor
on camera, ala "Eyewitness News". ;D
I realize not everyone has a video cam.
it can be done with any old ordinary webcam, or borrow
one from a friend. Keep the video resolution small
like 320x240 so it will yield a small avi or wmv file size that's
easily uploadable/downloadable/generally viewable. ;D

while reading the interview i was unintentionally listening to a music by John Williams from the Indiana Movie Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack. i was moved  by the stories behind the jolly man in RJ. very entertaining from start to finish, some parts that i like and i quote: "The Mono’s either got smashed or lost parts through time, and my Great Mazinga jumbo got stolen while I was at school. Since then I swore that I’d someday collect these cool Japanese robot toys." felt like i was watching those asian kung fu films, those bastids will pay for what they have done, one day i will avenge your death kinda thing!!! great interview and story as well!!! kudos!!! ;D |
