Ahhh, as soon as I saw where you were from I knew Kimono My House would show up somewhere in your interview.

I found out about Kimono My House during my Final Fantasy VII collecting days. Back then, the only figures were the Bandai Extra Soldiers action figures, the Kotobuyika Statues and those coca cola mini trading figures that was inserted into boxes of coke and was only available in Japan or something. Back then, I knew there was a lot of interest from fans wanting Final Fantasy collectibles. It wasn't until Squaresoft merge with Enix and form their whole PlayArts company that we were treated with lots of Final Fantasy goodies, and now the market is flooded with them. To the point where I no longer care or want most of the new stuff they show. If this was 1998 and they showed me a picture of that PlayArts Kai Cloud Strife, I would have jump all over it. But, I have enough Cloud Strife figures, most of which just sit inside the box and not even in display anymore.

great stuff supergetterv! I only got to visit Kimono my House once shortly before it closed down. I was so happy to finally find a place that sells stuff I'm actually interested in but so disappointed with the fact that it was closing down. I sure would have liked to get to know the owner a little better.
Now, who's going to go take a look at MMC Cyclops at Comic Ink this weekend? I'm going near its opening hour (10 AM) on Saturday.

Comic ink is getting a preview of MMC Cyclops? For those that don't know what MMC Cyclops is, it is the Transformers Hearts of Steel Shockwave. I actually works not far away from that comic store and drop by there once in a while, but I haven't been there in months.

I believe the owner of Kimono MY House has re-opened for business but it's "by appointment" only. Always felt awkward calling to set-up a time to go look at toys... I've never been to Comic Ink but I assume you guys are referring to the one in Dublin?

Yup the one in Dublin. I haven't been there before and thought Cyclop is a good excuse for me to go check it out.
