I said I was going to only get the 5 Bronze Saints but I've sunk a lttle deeper and got the 15th Anniversary Athena. It's the chrome red/pink version of the 10th anniversary release, and it's really beautiful. 37cm wingspan chrome wings. Articulation is somewhat limited but it's not impossible to get some poses out of her, as you can see in the YT video. The torso armor locks everything down so there is no waist swivel or ab crunch anymore. The skirts restrict access to the legs but it is possible to spread them out. The chrome is a dust and fingerprint magnet though. I've also PO'd the 15th Anni Hades, as well as the Heaven Overture Seiya. Yup, sinking deeper.
Not my video

09/01 start shoko myth cloth PO if anyone is interested If I have to choose, I Prefer Silver Saint Mayura, than Shoko.
Saintia Sho is quite refreshing, anyway. Milo plays a great deal in this story.
I like his new facesculpt too. The old one is soo lame. Gah!

Manga is pretty good in my opinion. That anime started slowly but later it gets better (there are only 4 episodes by the way). I already have all the gold saints first releases so I'm not buying any more. In fact I'm selling all my souls of gold myth cloth.

What's the difference between the "Souls of Gold" EX Gold Cloths versus the earlier EX releases?

What's the difference between the "Souls of Gold" EX Gold Cloths versus the earlier EX releases? They are completely new figures. In souls of gold anime the gold saint get divine cloth like the bronze saints in hades. I'm keeping the classic gold saints and selling the souls of gold one... Check some image some of them got really nice designs (I'm keeping virgo shaka because it's my zodiac sign)

The clock tower is pretty cool, but look too clean and simple with not much rock details on the sculpt. It puts a smile on my face seeing it, but at the same time no urge of preordering it.

Bandai official pics for Dragon Shiryu Revival GetterBoi, do you mind give me a quick run down on these 5 Bronze Revival? I noticed from previous ones have some slight color changes (Ikki, Shun), with the originals actually better painted face while the Revival just bare plastic with eyes painted on. But I don't know anything else about them and why they are being re-released, or if they are improved versions of the originals, which aren't that old to begin with. Its the one version of the 5 Bronze I never bought, the V1 cloth. Curious if they are something I should go back and chase after. Sort of retired from collecting Myths (though I did get Abel & Athena, also Overture Seiya), but listening to the soundtrack recently start burning my cosmos again...LOL.

I only started collecting Saint Cloth Myth recently because of the Revivals. There are some Spanish and Chinese reviews on youtube that compare the original and the Revivals. I'm trying to limit myself to just the main characters from the original show, not going crazy with all the Gold and Silver Saints.

Okay! That's it. Shiryu is on my list. LOL
IMO, Andromeda and Shiryu (rev. ver) have better facesculpt than their originals. Pegassus Seiya & Phoenix Ikki in other hand, is a different case.

GetterBoi, No worries. I find the originals look better, mainly because their face and mouth are painted, especially on Ikki. While I like the original Shun face better, he does have sleepy eyes. The Revivals seem to just use bare plastic on the face, and only painted the eyes, not the mouth line (unless its an open mouth with expressions). I do have a big collection of non EX releases. Thought the revivals might be a good addition to them, but now I have second thoughts. Like some parts of the face improvements (on Shiryu and Hyoga), but the bare plastic & no mouth line look might make them slightly out of place from my other older ones. Shiryu does look very good, not gonna lie. Looks like Shiryu & Hyoga does have a better face than the old, after looking at some older pics and reviews. I suppose that was the selling point of the revivals, a new head sculpt for each of them. Also, you guys know much about Saintia Shou? I watched the first episode last night just out of curiosity, and I am intrigued but also very confused. It looks like its the same timeline as Seiya, Saori seems younger, but the Gold Saints are there? At first I thought its a complete reboot with girls being the focus, but when I read in wikipedia, it sounds more like a retrofit side story, inserting a new class of female Saints into the canon (even though a number of things don't sit right). I do like the style, more faithful to the old school look, even though the torso sometimes drew a bit too small. Can see they really pay a homage to Shingo Araki & Michi Himeno's anime character design in the old shows & movies. You guys following this show?

I'm watching the show and buying the manga. The story is good, specially after the first part. Saintia are like the old mistress that guarded young girls (athena is to young to be among men), I think that's what inspired them. The girls are dedicated to protect athena and are close to her as her special guard. It's a side story to the original manga, saintias meet many of the gold and bronze saints along the way. As a fan I'm really enjoying it.

I don't know if Seiya Revival intentionally got a pudgy face because Bandai is trying to depict a younger Seiya. But the Heaven Chapter version that just came out has a taller Seiya with a more mature face sculpt. Images from Chinese review

Yeah. Overture Seiya definitely has a better sculpt and likeness than the Revival Seiya. I find a lot of EX has similar issue. Its not like the sculpts are bad, but they tend to be a little off. EX greatly improved the bodies and Cloth, but the head sculpts I personally like the Myth Appendix heads the most (doesn't look like the same sculptor doing all the EX). Too bad we only got a few of those, making my Gold Saints collection feels incomplete (some still have the old ugly heads since no Appendix were made for them), but not enough to disregard all of them and get the EX line all over again. So I stuck with the original Myth line, and only get one or two new release once in a blue moon.
My Overture Seiya is on its way, can't wait to get him in hand in a few days.
