Looks assuming, a perfect match for Daitarn 3 n Zanbot 3

Why are Daiojya and Daitarn 3 so similar in looks? Are they designed by the same person (forgive my ignorance)?
But yet, they have a very different theme and mechanism. One is a triple changer transformer, while the other is a three robot combiner. I understand that Daiojya is also one of the robots that has so many arsenal under his sleeve, am I right?

Well all three were from Sunrise with Kunio Okawara designing the mecha with Daitarn being the first one he did for Sunrise (he also worked on the Time Bokan series) which probably explains why Daitarn and Zambot don't look that similar but Daitarn and Diaoja do. Honestly though it was probably the same design team that worked on all three and most likely all the Sunrise stuff at that time which is why you'll see similarities in certain shows.

It feels like Gundam UC deja vu super robot style.....but you could chalk up Gundam's similarities in every series to timeline improvements/ revisions...or to its common namesake... but these three aren't even connected.
From someone who don't know Daioja (like myself) it looks more of a Korean KO of Daitarn.

You know I'm loving this. I really would love to see some good prototype shots of this guy.

Ughh! I hope those blueprints are all wrong! If they're not, this SOC is gonna look exactly like its 1980's toy predecesor. The proportions of the head, arms, and legs are nothing like in the anime. Hopefully this will be corrected prior to production...

I can't think of any instance off the top of my head where an SOC changed drastically in design or proportion after we saw promos for it?

The Toysdaily link shows two totally different blueprints. The first one looks proportioned and really cool (open the link). Could the second one (the one above) be an early proto?

I have no doubts that Bandai will hit another homerun when they show production pics of Daioja.

Yes, the second blueprint is the 'original/old' development blueprint... and the first one is the 'next stage(second time*)' development blue print. My guess is Bandai gave up the Daioja development at one point years ago.

Yeah that blueprint looks like the early Daitarn one which had the skinny legs and big feet and honestly didn't look that nice. But with these things they usually go through 3-4 different process' and alterations before they finalize a design and start tooling.

I havent bought from them since like last year. But Yeah they are kinda slow but they have alot of rare series though. Agreed, they do have a very nice selection of series. Happy to help guys (thanks to Omniclone over at the PTK forums for posting the original show link ) I ordered my God Sigma DVDs from that shop about 2 months ago, still browsing through it but the video quality is decent, the menus are generic "blue screen with white letters" menus though (was half expecting actual rips from original DVD boxsets, which would include the original menus, sadly, no). Took them a while to ship out my order. About 3 weeks to process and ship out and another 4-5 weeks transit before it arrived locally at the post office. The post origin states Jakarta. Gold Gold, Did your God Sigma DVD set include English subtitles? Nope, no subs. Gold

That would be the best if GX-61 comes with a CD with the opening track of Saikyo Robo Daioja. That theme song was so damn friggin catchy!!

Okay with God Sigma out now who's starting to get excited for Daioja? Can't wait for official pics but so far this is the largest/closest pic I could find of the figure. Attachments:

This looks more interesting than God Sigma. For me, GS is a rip-off of God Mars, even down to the name (replacing Mars with Sigma). The transformation is quite unique and sets it apart.
