Well, guess I'm blessed in regards to picking my purchases based on knowledge of the character, otherwise I would probably be living under a bridge. I just do not buy anything on its looks alone. Nope, it must definitely have some background for it to even raise my wallet's interest... AND, I must like it.

Actually bandai allowed picture taking a while ago 4:00pm up till 4:30pm japan time so those pictures weren't necessarily stolen, thanks eclipsevv and all those who shot and shared the pics. Bandai promised they were already taking photo sessions for daioja but they said the crowd at those sections were horrendous so they probably never dared try. Guess the statements about daioja being as big as daitan3 and made of surplus parts were all correct. But bandai stated that it is just a mock up prototype, so expect lots of changes still.

it was a slow Hush Period from Bandai, and all the Sudden This SOC and a Pack load of other products announced!

Nooooo! Why put up that video?!!! Now that I've seen the video and how cool the anime is, I will not only have to buy the SOC, but will have to track down the entire anime series as well! I never thought it would be so cool!

YEAH!! I was all for Daioja. I really like the character style, color, and some of the magnetic gimmicks. With Zambot, and Daitarn, this is a natural for the trio.
You Italian collector brothers must be going nuts now, haha!
Hmmm....may be time to re-fire up the "Roll in the Clover" thread in the Vintage forum, heheh

You Italian collector brothers must be going nuts now, haha! Not that much actually: Daioja was one of the very few classic super robot anime never aired in Italy  I love Daioja and will buy it for sure, but lots of Italian collectors I know will skip it. |

At fisrt glance I wouldn't care much for it but the gattai looks like it's going to be one of the hardest to pull out. I really like complex toys.
If Bandai manages to do posable individual robots and gets the big robot too, I'm buying.

Anyone else find it strange that all of a sudden, there's a fully painted prototype? What happened to the earlier stages - blueprints, unpainted protos, etc.? Also, just a general question, what do the enemy robots do while the good guy bots take 5 minutes to combine? Do they just stand around watching in awe rather than using the time to attack an unprepared and undefended opponent? This bot has the same shoulder pads as Daitarn. This is one of the few classic bots I don't own in vintage form yet. I never liked the blocky basic aspects of them too much. But this SOC looks pretty nice - a major improvement in design. This might be one of the few cases where I would prefer the SOC over the vintage toy. |

This one' size is really huge !
SOC price for big bots are now more than 200 $...ouch !
It's more than 1000 $ a year to follow the line...
BTW, this one rocks and Sunrise up to date !
