Apparently, this VF-0A will go the same way the Stealth VF-1J did. One packaged with the GHOST, and one without.  |

Accordning to Graham of MW, 99% of the issues encountered on the VF-0S have been fixed on the VF-0A. So far only the sliding booster pack is still loose. Makes it even more worth getting! Nice toy. Looks like I'll have to pass on this one. Saving up for bigger and better things.

Omni,
Since you have both the VF-0A and the Masterpiece Starscream, can you please compare the two in terms of build quality, playability, transformation, etc.? If I limited myself to just one of the two, which would you recommend? Thanks.

Hi Zephyrantes!
Sorry but I didn't get around to buying the MP Starscream. Too puny compared to MP-01 and MP-05, and paint chips during transformation didn't help the appeal either.
However, I've been able to handle one.
Personally, I found the transformation a little too 'finicky.' The scale in fighter mode is good, and looks good. It's actually almost the same size as the 1/60's and 1/48's.
For comparison with the VF-0 transformation and build, I'd go with the VF-0. Not too finicky in terms of transformation (no bias), and IMO, the VF's feel more solid in Robot mode, Screamer was a little too busy with the fins hanging out on the sides. Both look great in fighter mode though.
Recommendation?
VF-0A. Better yet, just wait for the VF-0A package with the GHOST. MP-05? Get it if you get a good offer (evilbay, or someone selling it).

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'll pass on the Starscream unless I find it at a good sale price. Looking forward to the VF-0A Shin Kudo with Ghost or maybe a re-release of the VF-0S. You've read HP Lovecraft also?

If you're in the Philippines, just visit Greenhills. You'll get a good offer. Local retailers here might price it at around P8000 give or take.
If you order from HLJ.COM, the price is at $165, going to about $190 with EMS shipping.
