If they want to keep it a secret is fine by me, as long as I can get one upon release! ;D Golion is cool and all, but Dairugger is my favorite Voltron of them all! }D

I'd be interested to know what retailers will be carrying this product? Most Wanted's stuff hasn't exactly been easy to come by in the past.

Good point! Yeah, any word on who is going to be selling it here in the USA? I hope it is not going to be just BBTS... not that they are bad, but it takes them forever and a day to get the new releases in!!!

www.ToyFreakz.com out of OR, seems to be the main ones pushing this along in the USA. Facebook update of theirs simply had "April " next to the recent pics.

Well this was a quote from Bandai,it eludes to me that they are unable to produce them??
Bandai reps were tight lipped about future SOC releases. They did say this to me: "Bandai would like NOTHING MORE than to make a Soul of Chogokin Go Lion and Dairugger". Does that mean they are in the works? Hard to say, with Mattel currently holding the Voltron license. If enough fans demand it, who knows what will happen? Look for polls here on CDX soon to be able to make your voice heard. Recent SHF toys have been greenlit on the strength of the American fan vote.

If Bandai makes a Dairugger after Most Wanted makes theirs, or even the other way around, I would still get both of them. ;D Dairugger is one of the few characters that I don't mind to have tons of renditions of... }D

Hey Guys, Sorry to burst the bubble but Bandai is definitely not making Golion/Dairugger.. Here is a brief history on why Bandai can't or won't make any toys from the Voltron line.. Back in the 80's Toei produced Golion & Dairugger anime series, it was not as popular as they hoped it would be.. WEP(World events Productions) wanted to bring the series to the States, so they approached Toei & offered to buy all the rights to Golion,Dairugger.. Since it didn't do so well in Japan Toei figured it might not do well in the US either so they decided to sell to WEP for a very low price(BIG MISTAKE ;D) Well as we all know the series was renamed Voltron & became a huge success in the US.. Any toy company that wants to produce any toy lines regarding Voltron has to go through WEP such as (Matchbox, Toynami, Mattel, etc..) Toei wanted to get the rights back in mid 2000's & it actually went to court, but WEP won the case since they purchased the Rights legitimately in the 80's.. Bandai had assumed Toei would get the rights back & had designed Dairugger & Golion for the SOC line, it was to the point of being in production until they found out that Toei lost the case & was forced to pull the project.. You may wonder why can't Bandai just contact WEP & purchase a license, well if they did they that would be very offensive to Toei, as you may know most of Bandai's production characters are licensed by Toei.. So in Japan it's about respect & honor therefor no Voltron for Bandai.. Miracle Productions/Most Wanted bought the license right after ToyNami's license ended, so they've taken quite a long time for this project.. they got it just in time before Mattel snatched the new License deal.. So now Mattel has the rights for a year which is ending in a few months.. this summer we might get a new company or a previous company bidding to get the rights to Voltron once again.. Yes I know very dramatic

That's intense! Thanks for sharing... But, what about the vinyls that came out not too long ago, you know, the 9" Vehicle and Lion Voltrons and the new "Shogun Warriors" 24" vinyls of Go Lion and Dairugger XV? How did those happen?
But you know.... I don't really care about a Bandai SOC, I just want a modern diecast version action figure of a combining Dairugger!!! ;D

Those Vinyls were the last of what Toynami were able to push out before Miracle/Most Wanted took charge of the license.. Toynami really pushed the limit by releasing the vinyls so late especially the 9" Dairugger released last Comic Con, same goes with Miracle for releasing the upcoming Diecast Dairugger during the licensing period of Mattel.. So it might get sketchy so just to play it safe I suggest everyone to order the Dairugger immediately cause I have a feeling Mattel might intervene with the release..
Oh a little update guys.. My buddy which is Dave at ToyFreakz.com will have a Pre Order for Dairugger in the coming week, so I will keep you guys posted.. So goods news is that He is the main distributor & makes it easier for us living in the US.
Very Important.. Only Pre-Orders will qualify for the Die Cast sword, orders during the release will not get the diecast sword nor can the sword be purchased separately..

What about people interested from other countries, i.e Asia, Australia? If Bandai won't buy a license for Dairugger or Golion maybe TakaraTomy should buy a license and release it.

You should be able to get your Dairugger from any dealer carrying Miracle/Most Wanted products.. I don't think Takara/Tomy would want to touch a former Toei licenced franchise that would make for much heated confrontation.. That's like having Bandai making Transformers ;D
