Don't know anything about this character, but it is a very cool girl figure... pre-ordered! }D Yeah, never seen this character before. At any rate, you should give the very first game a try if you haven't played it. It's a Nintendo classic for sure! In the meantime, has anyone received word on the status figma Guts?? I've been checking my email often for payment requests from Amiami. |

Revoltech is full of robots, while you can count those in the Figma line on your fingers. The vast majority of posts in the Figma thread was about girly figures. Major derailment for a forum that's supposed to be about robots and an annoyance to some of us who don't care about these and come here only for infos on robot figures. I'll admit I'm among them. So if you want to talk about the non robot-related Figmas, you can still do it here. And I guess you could make a new thread in the robot action figures when a new robot Figma is announced, if you want to. Either one for every figure (or closely related releases, from the same series), or a general robot Figmas thread. Now, you may want to reply that, while it isn't as overwhelmingly one-sided as the Figma line, there are also loads of non-robots Revoltechs. And you'd be right. Maybe the current Revoltech thread should go through the same move. But that's not my decision to make. |

Is this Samus without her armor up there  You mean at the bottom of the pic in mechaleleng2.0's post? It's a PVC statue, also from Max Factory. To be released this June. Pre-orders are currently open at most online retailers. (Well, actually, they're on at AmiAmi, HLJ and BBTS, then I got lazy and didn't bother looking anywhere else.) I already have First4's statue, but I couldn't resist ordering one of these. This one is based on the Other M design, while First4's is made from the Metroid Prime data. Sooo... they're different... Samus was so out of character in that game that it kind of makes her a different character... that justifies breaking my "one per character" rule... right? Right? Oh! It's Metroid! Of course I'm going to break that darn (but wise) rule! ;D Pre-ordered two Figmas too. I've waited so long for a Samus figure (that didn't look horrible), I'm not going to pass on this. Now I wish some manufacturer would get off its ass and make us a chogokin Samus. You know... since Max Factory has the licence to make an action figure and a statue, maybe they could get one for a Max Gokin Samus. Wishful thinking? Probably, yeah.  |

I realized that too late... for some reason I thought the girl in the blue suit was the same Figma Samus figure but with the armor removed. What was I thinking!!! Oh yes, Armor Plus... ;D

This Figma being based on the Metroid : The Other M design, I wonder if Max Factory will eventually release Figmas of other suits, considering Samus keeps the same armor for the whole game. (Varia and Gravity are merely features of the Power suit, with no change in looks - except for a purple aura around the suit when she activates the Gravity Suit.) I'd say a Zero Suit Samus Figma is a given. I mean, this is Figma and Samus is quite the busty lady. Just a matter of time. But once Power Suit and Zero Suit Samus are done, there's nothing left. Unless they go for Millitary Academy Uniform Samus... Actually, thinking this over, I'd buy that too. I'll just eat up any Metroid Figma they throw at me. Should they decide to make suits from games other than The Other M, I'd even make friends with my old enemy, the straight repaint : bring on Gravity and Phazon Suit Samus, Max Factory. The Fusion Suit is higher on my wishlist, but would require a whole new sculpt. PED Suit and Dark Samus would be instant-buys, too. |
