Actually Im beginning to dislike it more and more every time I see it.They should have done a classic Mazinger for this anniversary,or a Mazinger base, something other than this.the waist motif is just glaringly gaudy too.But I do like teh black helmet.

just buy some spray paint at walmart and make your own, it will be cheaper and not give bandai any money for stupid repaints!!!! Haha i know what you mean. If these babies are any cheaper, i might get one and give it a go without the fear of screwing it up ;D

Here's a general question. I want a version of Mazinger and I know nothing about the series. Is there a specific SRC or SOC that would be a nice, affordable starting point?

Here's a general question. I want a version of Mazinger and I know nothing about the series. Is there a specific SRC or SOC that would be a nice, affordable starting point? themazingerz might help you more with this question check the wikipedia page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazinger_Zi'll just put my opinion to get an affordable Prices Mazinger Z i suggest you go with the SRC if you don't mind it being a bit shorter than the SOC, it's the same size as an SHfiguarts Most people in here Prefer The Classic Mazinger Z since its the Robot that most people Grew with and if you buy The Classic SRC Mazinger Z you may as well buy the Accessories pack "Comes with his wings and Rocket punch effects" Video Review by CollectionDX and then there is the Recent Mazinger Z which is Based on the 2009 animation, most people found the series to be ... boring .. "There are 2 SOC versions of this" .. a non transformable one (SOC GX-45) and a Transformable that turns into a Giant Fist (SOC GX-49) The SRC one doesnt transform though Review by Vangelus of the GX-49 If you're curious about the Transformable SOC one And then there is Great Mazinger .. he Debuts in the Original Mazinger Z Series After Mazinger Z got defeated all pics are of the SRC releases

im still hoping bandai or their japanese customers will reconsider and return the super robot chogokin line to just making super robots and not crappy real robots like the armored core because they may even start making gundams next then!!!!

Well, there is one Gundam that I would not mind seeing in the SRC line - because it was actually a Super Robot: The Devil Gundam in Final Form (a bad guy of course). }D

I personally would not like to see the Gundam(s) start filtering into the SRC line. There are so many, that it might as well become the SRC Gundam line! Although, there are a few Gundams that I think are pretty sleek and would lool cool as small Chogokin-y figures....

Since they already threw in an Armored Core figure, anything is possible. And I assure you that I rather see Gundams in the SRC line that Armored Core! But in a perfect world, and if I owned Bandai, I would not allow any characters other than Super Robots (old and new) in the line. }D

i agree because at least gundams are classics too. the armored core stuff doesnt belong in the src line at all, but bandai is dumb enough to put them there. i bet you they will loose a lot of money with that src robot as only a few are interested in getting it. if it goes on clearance one day for very cheap i will get one and make a video blowing it up using a firecracker. im sure it will be on the 75% off hlj clearance page a few weeks after release.

The old AC and Front mission plastic figures go for a lot of money, so you never know. The fan base might be there. I prefer this release to a lot of the SRC figures, but I tend to prefer realistic robots over a lot of Super Robots. Its all a matter of personal tastes. If the price comes down if it does not do well, then I would be happy to pick it up at a lower price.
I do think a voltron would be cool in this line, and a Gurren Lagann. I do not mind them opening this line up more to other things that might not get made by other companies.
