No problem. :-)
We don't have any pre-orders here in PI, but suppliers are pegging it at about $120 to $140.
I forgot to add, the VF-0 will come with leg armors. That's probably another reason for the high price. I do agree though, I hope there's more diecast.
Gosh! $190? That's some pretty expensive sh!te! Maybe its because of additional costs to import the toys?

Yeah, those prices don't even include shipping within the US. Imported toys from Asia (to the US) are usually marked up quite a bit partly due to shipping. I hadn't heard about leg armor accessories. That's nice.

Dang! That's steep!
Thank God for the local hobby shops here!
Regarding the leg armor, you'll see them on the first picture posted above. The valkyrie plastic is white, while the armor is set in dark gray plastic. ;D
Sigh... I swear this hobby will be the death of us.

Pics of the VF-0S prototype taken from Akihabara. I should be happy but that PRICE TAG just killed me!!! One thing I noticed on the third pic, is that the upper corners of the chest plate appear to be BLOCKING the shoulders (encircled). Do I just need to wear my fricken glasses, or was the toy transformed incorrectly, or are we looking at a possible shoulder problem like on the 1/60 VF-1's? The price.... JEEBUS CRIPES!!!!

Thanks for the terrific pix! You were correct about the large size of this Valk. I think that's a 1/48 VF-1A next to the VF-0S. The VF-0S looks like something from Patlabor. Anyway, the price is painful. That's over $140 US without shipping costs. So now I see why it's so darn expensive here in the states. I wonder if there will be some good deals on it after a few months on the market--like what happened with the 1/48 scale valks. Hmm.

You're welcome! ;D
The pics were originally taken by 'SaveRobotech' on Macrossworld. Picture credits are his.
Frankly, even I was shocked at the sheer size of the VF-0. It's actually 2mm taller than the VF-1!!!
Based on some observations (mine and on MW), it looks like the plastic will sort of have a glossy finish to it, compared to the almost flat color of the plastic for the VF-1.
If this VF-0S is successful, we're definitely looking at VF-0A, VF-0D variants in the horizon, even the GBP-0 (shown on Macross Zero ep. 3), and the Ghost.

i agree about the price! but remember the yamato scopedog i got mine for 99 usd. much less expensive than buying from japan! if macross was also released officially i believe it would cost about 120 usd in the us! or maybe even less! the same thing is going to happen with garland that will be released in the us for 125 but i bet 99 price tag will happen again! about the vf-0 i like the similarities with patlabor and i also like the grey dots on the cockpit!

Those pix on the Yamato website are terrific. I just hope the quality control is up there with this first release. It's been Yamato's history that the first release has some sort of defect or another that's corrected by the time of the reissue (like the nosecone problem with the first batch of 1/48 valks).

At this point, I doubt the VF-0S will have any flaws design/engineering wise. Yamato had a very long and good practice with the 1/48 VF-1's, perfecting the toy over each release.
The only issues I can forsee with this is the usual. Paint blotches, over sprays, crooked skull logo's, and other human errors that seem to be prevalent with a lot of mass production toy factories.

What's a good price for this in the US? I found a pre-order price of $165 (not inc. shipping). Any other better preorder prices? Where? Thanks.

This is one fantabulous looking hunk of plastic (albeit an expensive one).

That's a U.S. based online seller. They also have a message board there where most of the members are refugees from Macrossworld. Las I checked in, they had a GROUP BUY for the VF-0S going on. You may want t check that out to get it for something cheaper. Happy hunting!

Been a while since I last updated this thread. I recall the release date being April, so give or take another 2-3 weeks of waiting. Anywhoo, here are some pics courtesy of **Macrossworld.Com**

It's beautiful. However, I'm not yet sure if I'm willing to shell out close to $200 USD for this when you include shipping costs. I've noticed that some sellers have recently jacked up the prices for the VF-0S.

Personally, I think it's worth it.
Besides, I am very hopeful that the VF-0S will sell because that's more likely Yamato's gauge for releasing the VF-0D, and possibly even the SV-50 and SV-51.... just thinking about it makes me drool!
