I found these new pictures of C-3P0 and R2-D2 on Timless Dimension. The 3P0 figure loos awesome and you can see he comes with different hands and a removable retraining bolt. R2 looks great too, but I think his pose doesn't help. Anyway, here is the link: blog.yahoo.com/timeless_dimension/articles/675206/indexScroll to the middle of the page

Tamashii 12PM C-3PO Reported by Jay Cochran September 03, 2012 11:31 AM This product is a Chogokin, one of Bandai’s most respected international brands. The series is known for its abundant use of diecast metal, which gives its products a weight and a sense of presence unparalleled by other series. This product is a collaboration product of Sideshow Collectibles and Tamashii Nations. STAR WARS:EPISODE IV A NEW HOPE rocked the world when it was released.Chogokin has selected the Episode IV appearance of C-3P0 from among the many variations that appeared throughout the series. Each and every detail has been thoroughly verified by Seiji Takahashi, Japan’s foremost Star Wars scholar. No details were spared to replicate the character with perfect accuracy in the form of a posable action figure.A perfect representation of the on-screen character from every angle, the Chogokin C-3P0 represents a fusion of the Chogokin ethos with the precision of a scale model. Elbows feature working cylinders. A world first for the 12 inch figure scale. The stomach detailing utilizes actual wires: another world first.Knee-backs with asymmetrical detailing: yet another world first. The chest features accurate detail down to the tiniest bumps and dents. The legs are asymmetrically designed, even down to the differing colors seen in Episode IV.The removable droid control bolt attaches magnetically, and the comlink can be held in C-3P0’s hand. C-3PO is scheduled for release in February 2013 for ¥33,600. jediinsider.com/index.php?catid=8&itemid=14309

Why is the comlink so small? It really should be bigger than that to be in scale.

Awesome! I've always loved that Star Wars robot character, as well as R2D2; and I had always wanted their action figures. So, I'll have to translate 300mm into inches to see how tall this specimen will be. I'd be amazed if this turns out to be the same typical size as an SOC (5 or 6 inches tall), that would be a nice treat. I hope Bandai gets to make an R2D2 chogokin as well. Thanks for the heads up. zozo-mag

HOLY DX, C3PO's measured at almost 12 inches!!! Don't believe me? Here, try the math with this... www.sciencemadesimple.com/millimeters-to-inches.html...enter 300 into the millimeters box and click Convert Now and you'll see. Call an ambulance and have a stretcher ready... ...this specimen will hurt your wallet if the DX Mazinger-Z or the new Mattel Voltron hasn't done so already. ;D zozo-mag

Yep. It is part of the Perfect Model series. Same ones that are giving us Tiger and Bunny 12". This was at SDCC at the Sideshow display. It is pretty sweet. For SW fans this is a must own

I think there was a time C3PO lost a leg during one of their advanture and somebody maybe Wookie just got him any old spare leg from somewhere to put him back together in a hurry to get out of the situation in a hurry...
Sorry about not being more specific but I'm pretty sure it was along that line....

Yeah, that sounds about right.
And if I remember, C3PO was also kinda dirty early on throughout the movie (SW, "episode 4", the original '77 debut)... ...he was later all cleaned up at the end of the movie when Princess Leia was handing out the ceremonial medals to Han and Luke for their service in the war against the evil Empire.

Yeah, I was on the fence about this figure, but I think I am going to have to splurge and get this guy.... Thankfully, Sideshow allows you to pay in installments...
