Okayyyyyy, moving right along. I'd like to see someone make a mechanized (motorized) version of a custom Photon Lab. That would be a treat to watch. zozo-mag

....as for the mechinized photon lab, someone did build one, where Mazinger Z comes out of his pool, I have designs for that, but you would need a 12" thick platform , the one I seen posted here, is easy to remember, the guy who built it, has 3 fingers, and looked pretty cut up, well just his hands..other than the pool opening, and mazinga coming out..you could make the smoke stacks smoke pretty easy, just use a smoker kit, from a lionel train.... question...didnt later on in the show, 4 things....come out of the ground to apply the force field ? you could use that clear/rainbow wrap, they use for gift wrapping fruit baskets to cover the lab in a forcefield ? or would that look cheesey......?

Oh, I know what you are talking about, the clear plastic they wrap the easter baskets in Walmart with!!!! I think it would look cool!

Yep, some Barrier emitters do come out of the ground in areas surrounding the lab. I don't know exactly how many came out, but at least I've seen four. Four is enough, anyway.
The lab didn't start using a barrier until after being approached and attacked by the first few mechabeasts early in the series. Then later on the barrier was upgraded, even though it still got broken throughout the series.
The lab also used an underground Photon Wave as a last defense against mechabeasts that tried to burrow their way into the lab compound to steal the Japanium element which makes up the super-alloy Z.
But, of course, you wouldn't need the Photon Wave for this custom lab, because the Photon Wave was only used underground therefore you couldn't see it...
....You Can use it for this lab, if you wanna zap your dog or cat from getting too close to the model. ;D

LOL....wayyyyy tooo much time on your hands buddy......ok so 4 emitters and the pool, would be the mechinized parts ? The pool elevator would be fairly easy...but the emitters might be tricky, due to the small size......hmmmmm...I need to think on that......maybe something that just flips??? one side of the table has the emitters and one side will just be grass.....seems the easiest way !!

Well i changed the size a little, (smaller) and this one I made, to be screwed together...it's designed to be a model kit, so some work is required....unless the postoffice gets hold of it, then it will need a ton of work !!!!!...I'll put a base coat of semi-gloss primer, over 90% of the surfaces...but a final paint job, is best...the port windows need to be hot glued in, and the doorway needs glued together...but most items can be screwed together, or they are pre-built.. the balls, that are behind the lab, will need to be assembled.but thats an easy job !!! this kits shown, needs the 7's( top towers) built...but for a few extra dollars, i can build them for the buyer. buyers need to remember, that it is a lit, and adjustments may need to be made...but for the most part, a monkey could build it...I also will supply a detailed set of instructions....the screws, and all panels, and parts to enhance the lab !!!! paints, wood putty, and patience is need by you !!!!! I also make a kit, with NO screw holes, for the builder, that has a brad nailer, and likes to use wood glue, and clamps....which I think looks best, in the end...but even the first kit, can be touched up, because the screws are counter sunk, so you can putty over them..and repaint !!! I made the robot repair room, a lot larger, than the first ones...and because it is a kit, I'm able to cut down on the price.....right around 150.00 shipped, but price will vary, depending on what options you choose........ PLEASE ASK FOR PRICES FIRST>>>> That price is about the same for Volts base kit, and Jeegs base kit....and I'm working on the Great mazinga base...if anyone needs a different base, or different sizes..please ask !!!! you can look back through this thread, to see what t5he Photon lab could look ( look before, the postoffice trashed TMZ's)

some of the pix, show, how to build the 7's( towers) I made a jig, that is in every kit, to help bend the wood, for the arches....it's actually pretty easy, if you wet the wood, and take your time....I'm working on lighting lits, to add with the base model...lights for the top tower's, and lights for the top of the robot door...but anyone who buys a kit, could always add lights if they knew how, or was good at that type of thing !!!!

here is some better pix, of what you get in the kit..there are 2 chain's to choose from( for in the lab ) and lots of extra parts to enhance the looks of the lab...I also add 2 more options, the power collectors, that are off to the left of the lab, and the square tower shaft, that you see in Mazinkaiser, instead of the round one, that Go Nagi first came up with... it could be built fully in 2/3 days, if you paint fast, and the glues dry at a good pace. But I think taking your time, it should take about a week...to have the great lab, sitting on your shelf, with all you figures around it !!!!!!!! And also Micro machines are just about the right side, which is N scale......
