Well Mazinger fans, I was given a chance to build a custom Photon Lab, for a great RJ member, and here is the finished (almost) product...it's 36" long, by 26" wide and 28" tall with the 2 towers...which are removable for shipping. I built it from 1/4 wood, different types,it lights up with 15 LED lights powered by 2 aa batteries. It took about 1 month to build...but that was trial and error.......lot's of the latter!!!! I plan on building all the great "super robots" lair's, Grendizers being next. I'm taking pre-orders..if any one is interested in a photon lab, or any other one, you might like. I tried to get the lab just right, but it changes a lots through the episodes.....  Go here to see the pix I have. Please PM me if there is an issue with the link |

I can customize it any way you might need, this one is how the buyer wanted his !!
It could be build on a cabinet, smaller, larger..with the elevator in the pool..etc. But the more you want..the more it cost...1 in materials/ labor and 2 in shipping weight !!!

I wish I had my vacuum form built, I would love to transfer all these parts in plastic, Cut down on weight, and it would be easier to produce more.
One my next one, I want all the back windows to light up !!!!
Also...I really want to give a special thanks to the Rj member that helped fund, and helped me with this great project......I wont mention his name, in case he doesnt want me too...But he can leave a post.........if he wants !!!

There is still a few paint touch-up's that need done. But for the most part..it's ready to be shipped out the door....Bet you can't wait for it.....right, Bro...LOL

Haha...! My Photon Lab looks awesome! Thanks for the compliments bro, but this baby couldn't have happened without all your work - which was extensive! I truly appreciate your effort and dedication to make this project a reality.  Now I just can't wait to have it in my possession and give free reign to my Mazinger action figures! ;D Thanks again bro! }D |

yeah..it's not tiny....but...I did build a tiny one, pretty quick for my son...and it lights up too !!!

Here is the mini Photon lab, now mind you, that I built this very fast for my son...who was driving me crazy for a Photon lab of his own...while I was in the middle working on the large lab. So I grabbed a few scrap pieces of wood, and made this one for him. I could easily build a perfect one, in a day. And his lights up also !!!   |

Also don't forget, that my son helped build this, and painted it all by himself !!! and he is 5.
Since those pix were taken...I add a radar ( because the big on has one) and painted the windows in front of the Lab.

that one is about 8" by 8" and 9" tall. You would need a 1" mazinga for scale, but I could build a Photon lab that would fit the Gashpon figures, they stand about 2 1/2 " tall !!!

Do you think a Kotetsu Jeeg Base would be possible? With all the Jeeg stuff I have I think it would be cool as well. However, the Jeeg Base is a little more tricky to make than the Photon Lab, at least the dome.
