I'm new to this game. Has Bandai ever released a painted prototype and upsized later? I think it is just wishful thinking on the collectors' part who are disappointed with the size. SOC prototypes are pretty much the exact scale/size of the mass production figures. |

Bandai will find a way to make it over $200. They'll probably include a DVD or something to "justify" the crazy price for such a small figure. Oh, and I don't really expect too much diecast either...  }| |

Can somebodytranslate... Please it isn't as tall as the MZ GX-01 :-(. News update. I don't read Japanese but i can read some of the kanji. It seems it will be close to the size of GX-01. It also says something about storing the forearms and having two pair of wings with difference sizes. |

locidm is correct there. Text says Danguard Ace is close to SOC GX-01. But based on photos we have seen so far, it appears to be at least a bit taller. Just don't expect it to be very big.

In the very first pics of Danguard there was a poster advertising the DVD box set that came out awhile ago. I don't think it will come with any DVD but I do think it will cost more then people think, maybe not $200 but we'll be surprised.

I think the closest SOC transformer we can compare to is GX-43 Daimos. That had a MSRP of 16,800YEN but I'll add say a thousand YEN for inflation so say 17,800YEN. This is only a guess but if their roughly the same size then I can see Danguard being around 18,000YEN. So with current currency rates it will be roughly be a bit under $200USD.

Okay, here are my two new Michael's cases. I will re-arrange my collection when I get the DX Mazinger next month. There was no way I could have a added more robots in my previous configuration. My robots look great in these mirrored cases!

The football helmet case look nice but at 30$ these still aren't cost effective. They are cool though, cause they have a mirror and no dust can get in. But the detolf cases are now priced at 65$. If space isnt an issue another detolf case would be a cheaper solution. The inner dimensions of the football Helmet cases are smaller than a single square compared to the detolf squares. For probably 10$ more, a detolf case would give you two more cube of space for display.
So anymore info on this Danguard Ace? I don't mine the smaller Size but do hope to see it priced similar to the regular SoC, I am thinking like the GX-55, prior to them big ships and them combiners.

I think he didnt want another Ikea shelf as of space reasons.Also not everyone here including myself is close to an IKEA store,shipping in the uSA is over 300$ for a case,surely 30$ is WAY more cost effective than 365$ get me? And actually you are wrong on the Ikeas being bigger in a sense,since the steel rods are inside they get in the way so the Big Falcon base does NOT fit in the Ikea shelf its too wide, BUT it does fit in the helmet case!,so there is one example of an spacial advantage over the Ikeas. Also mine are used to house my bases which I do not want in an Ikea,I want them ON TOP of my Ikeas for display reasons.When I get more Ikeas I also will get more Helmet cases for on top,it adds space. |
