Do these pre-orders close after receiving a certain number, or just after a time limit? I need to hold off for a few days (to see if I could pull it at all - have other priorities right now) and I am fearful of losing out.

It goes by amount not time, but being a SOC I'm pretty sure there will be enough to go around and won't be sold out anytime soon.

You will not be charged until it is ready to ship. If for some reason you can't get it, you can always email AmiAmi and cancel. They don't mind if you don't cancel often.  Anyway, just pre-order it and you'll ensure one is set aside for you. }D |

Well seeing as how Amiami has a limit of one, I ordered the two I wanted from HLJ. I don't mind paying a bit more as their shipping price evens it out and I have always had great after sales customer service with them. Amiami used to be my choice but I can't deal with their lack of customer service. Nippon Yassan is really good too except I have to use Paypal with them. Oh well, let's all hope this is a home run for Bandai and we all get a great SOC when released no matter where we all bought it from. ;D It looks like we will all have no problem getting this guy as the pre-orders are all still up. I guess everyone was trying to get an Alto Macross Frontier Valkyrie. Hehe. I am just waiting for the Ozma to be re-issued. That will be fun  |

You can pay NY orders with your credit card, you just use the PayPal checkout feature which is secure anyway.

^ That's surprising. HLJ usually order a greater amount than Amiami, plus Amiami sells it at nearly 20% cheaper than HLJ.
Maybe it's that limit 1 policy...

AE has also put Pre-Orders now, but limited to 1 as well.
Strange that AmiAmi took it down.....they usually just write sold out. Maybe something similar to the Ankoku Daishogun story...limited only to the Japanese market?

I honestly don't like AmiAmi's tactics when it come to having limited inventory, pulling an item down after putting for pre-order, and their crazy high shipping prices that you won't know how much exactly till shipping day!!!
They are fast with shipping and you end up getting your items early, but personally I have no problem with waiting.
