Those with bovis, check the tfw forums on lubing up the arms. Supposedly the gears strip, and they are out of replacement pieces.

Baltmatrix thinks TFC Nemean is (pretty much) crap... Well, not really. I'm the one who thinks TFC Nemean is crap

Yeah I think after playing around with Hexatron and Bovis I feel a little spoiled about having everything tab into place and I think TFC totally dropped the ball on the waist extension and the legs. I probably wont ever buy this set unless future releases wow me more.

After seeing the back end of the Nemean Lion, I no longer think that its beast mode is way ahead of the MMC Leo Dux. However, I just can't get over how the G1 Razorclaw does the beast mode better than both TFC and MMC, even after MMC upgraded Leo's rear legs (IMHO).

I wouldn't go as far to say that G1 is a better figure.... It was cool for its time but if I had all 3 in front of my the G1 would be the last one I'd choose.

Small bump as I've got a question to the experts:
I just noticed that Mastermind Creations has had the 4 Predacon components on preorder for awhile...but, where is the 5th guy ("Rampage")? What's with the delay for that...?

What's with the delay for that...? They don't want to put up another pre-order for a figure before they ship another figure. Once Leo Dux goes out we may see POs for the Rampage kitty go up. Also, there had been a lot of mutterings that MMC was going to tweak some of the molds to try and give Rampage less anorexic back legs, similar to what they did with Leo Dux/Razorclaw.

Feral rex looks to be the real king.unless takara hasbro makes their own predaking masterpiece I agree. I can't wait to get Leo Dux so I can at least have an arm-less Feral Rex to gauge the true size of the combined form.

Correction: Tigris is not the last component. I guess there's also Felisaber. Although, I'm assuming F-07 is optional and a special order from Planet Steel Express?

Baltmatrix thinks TFC Nemean is (pretty much) crap... Well, not really. I'm the one who thinks TFC Nemean is crap I watched this video review the other night and boy, this version of Predaking is by far the worst one out of the three. I've seen a couple of video reviews for the Unique Toys Beasticon/Warlord and the finished combine Predaking mode actually looks pretty good. From those reviews, the UT version seems to have stability issues. Kind of like TFC Hercules, you have to put it in specific poses otherwise the joint will give. It's articulated at multiple points but is useless cause of the bulk and stability. MMC Feral Rex doesn't look like it has this problem, from what I have seen in peaughs review. Warlord looks really top heavy and the legs just don't want to support the figure. The wrist also looks weak and doesn't like to hold the sword side ways. Holding it upright seems fine though. Back to TFC Aries, I have seen the completed combine mode and the main dislike I have is the way the legs looks. It's just awkward and weird looking. Mainly because it looks very clunky and stubby. Too bulky and not long enough. It's like it barely has any thighs. For some reason, even a normal "A" stance doesn't look good or impressive. For this reason I consider it to be the weakest out of the three 3rd party Predakings.

^ I think it is generally agreed that the MMC's version of Predaking is the best overall; sculpt, quality, and price...

I finally got around to opening up my package from bbts. But first let me link a couple of YouTube reviews from RJ forum member OptimusprimeSG. So here is a quick iphone picture of mines. Really impressive. I love the size and the proportions a lot. Transformation is good, not too difficult and not overly easy like a shell former. This is definitely going to be my favorite piece and most anticipated wants of the year. Can't wait to get the final two pieces. The final 6th member would need to be ultra impressive for me to get it since it is a optional piece. But from the comic book, FeliSaber does look cool. My only nitpick with these is that the QC is still somewhat lacking. I was kinda expecting flawless paint jobs. There are minor paint flaws on all three figures. The paint on Fortis face is really thin. It helps to give the face kind of a panel lining look with the red kind of showing through to bring out the details. Same flaw with Bovis. Also, minor paint specs on various spots. Not noticeable unless you really look for them. I mean, even SoC have these minor flaws so I am not too bothered by it. Come on guys, post your pictures of your Feral Rex. I can't wait to get Talon because I want the wings. Hopefully it will fit in the detolf display case I have. So far Feral Rex barely fit into one of the display slots and this is before attaching the wings.

Got my Leo but sadly it's missing two pieces that keep the lower legs locked in the three positions for the right leg so right now it can barely stand. Bummer.

The ony issue I have with my Leo is that when his cannons are extended they just won't stay extended. They don't lock or anything and just slide back down.

Got my Leo but sadly it's missing two pieces that keep the lower legs locked in the three positions for the right leg so right now it can barely stand. Bummer. That's the thing with these 3rd party products. QC are alway questionable. Here is hoping you get the replacement part or an exchange. I asked for a Replacement for the lion head cause mine was poorly painted. The silver paint bleed onto the yellow part underneath the nose. Also some specs of silver paint on the side of the cheek. See picture below. BBTS was nice enough to provide me with a new head but it still isn't perfect. It's better than the first one but not by much. The above image has the new replacement head along with the old one on the bottom by the foot. Also notice that I turned on the LED feature on the head. I got the little cell batteries on eBay, Energizer brand. They are dirt cheap on eBay. 5 pack for less than $4. Batteries Plus store here in Pleasanton California sell the batteries at $4.99 each. And for those than want to see what I have in the rest of this display cabinet, here are some pictures. And on the bottom

That's the thing with these 3rd party products. QC are alway questionable. I can say the exact same thing for Takatomy/Hasbro official products as well: 1. Had to fix MP Grimlock's falling arm out of the box. 2. Crappy paint job on MP Smokescreen's hood. 3. Crappy paint job on MP Sideswipe. 4. Exploding Generations Blitzwing head just by turning it. 5. Broken screw that holds the halves of TF Prime FE Blackguard Optimus. 6. Leader Class Galaxy Convoy Missing one of the transparent plastic that forms the truck headlight. 7. Missing collector card on MP Greenscream. At least MMC seems to be be taking the effort to replace their customer's missing or broken part. That I can't say about Takatomy.I haven't had any luck in trying to get replacement parts from Takatomy.

The ony issue I have with my Leo is that when his cannons are extended they just won't stay extended. They don't lock or anything and just slide back down. I also have this problem on the right side of the cannon. It will not stay fully extended so I just adjust the left one to the same height. The left side stay fully extended without any problem. Other option is to point the cannons in the forward position so they don't slide back down. In regards to Takara and Hasbro QC issues, I can tolerate their QC problems because they produce in much higher quantities. And honestly, Takara and Hasbro don't provided replacement parts. So for any defective item, I just take it back to the store for an exchange. One of the reason I like BBTS so much is because their excellent customer service. I haven't had any problem requesting exchanges or parts from them. Unless, the parts comes from the manufacturer at the time of release, i.e. FP Diesel spare gun part, MMC Bovis's back part that came packaged inside of Fortis's instruction bag or TFC Exgravers shovel that came with TFC HeavyLabor. Most of the time, when they do provide parts, it is likely that they take these parts from a new figure out of a new box and the parts didn't come from the manufacturer. And I know this for a fact after seeing all those big lot of Damage Toy they auction off on eBay, with all kinds of missing parts. Why else would they have so many Takara MP-09 Rodimus with missing legs?
