Man this has really grown on me in batroid. Almost want two now, but i'll wait for a repaint  hoping for no qa issues. |

Not true. Paid $170 for the 171 POS. You can regularly find them for 130 all over. I see them on second hand markets for less than retail in new condition.
I see Luca's, 25a's, and even Alto's for less than retail.
It's going to stay that way as long as they keep re-issuing them every 6 months.

Well... the 171 isn't exactly the best example of a Bandai Valk :X Dem exploding triangles be the epitome of QC issues for Valks. |

The Renewal 27 is unique because its a renewal which didn't really get much improvements in comparison to the original 25. Theres no real QC issues with any valks except the 171 thats noteworthy. The reason the Renewal 27s price didn't go up is because people were generally disappointed with the release. The Renewal 27 was more like a V1.5 instead of a V2.0 and don't forget that the super parts weren't anything special. Fighter mode was basically almost the same as the first release. Whilst the proportions of the Battroid mode was improved it wasn't much of a big deal as the crotch piece seems to have disappointed people more than anything. |

With all these pictures popping up, I am really glad I was able to get one at CDJ and it's on its way. It can't arrive soon enough. I also read on Macrossworld that it has more of a matte finish and the QC is very tight on this one. I hope it's all true.
