Question: about those fins behind Great Mazinger's lower legs......
...are they supposed to be shown permanently on his legs like that?

I had always thought they were only visible while he's in flight.

Yep. They extrude outwards from the legs
when he's in flight, as rudders (like a plane).
In any case, they add a nice touch to the figure.

I leave them on all the time because they are swappable parts, and it is a pain to keep switching from one to the other. Wish they were like the SOC that just pop out of the leg.

Man, I love poppin them outta my SOC's legs. ;D

I've got an SRC Great Mazinger (finally!) but I haven't
unboxed it yet until I get some kind of covered glass display
for my figures.
But I will take it out for my upcoming Toyopsy.

That is one of the coolest gimmicks. Did you know that the SOC Getter Robot G has it as well? At least I think it does, but I haven't checked mine in ages. ;D
