I just love the quirkiness of the design. I might just go for it

The engineering makes it look like this toy can not stand without it's support arm/stand.

I have never watched a single episode of One Piece, is it worth checking out? Really not liking most of the character designs. Also, there was that Chogokin Franky a while back, is it a good buy, you know, as sort of a companion for this upcoming release? Gold

Anyway, their showing off General Franky at an event in Paris and most interesting is that he's not labeled as a SOC like Danguard Ace. He just has the chogokin label.

From that pic it makes me believe even more that this was shoehorned into the SOC line probably to increase it's "status" and keep interest in the line. Probably why the Yamato had no GX number, it feels like Bandai was caught of guard with the still popular SOC line and these are just filler toys till they get going again. They probably know that fans want SOC figures, are willing to pay $$$, and that the market has started to shift back to the higher-end now.
It's funny fifteen years ago if you told me that a figure was $150 I would have choked, but nowadays I paid $300+s/h for a Transformer from a 3rd party company that has zero diecast in it besides the screws (Planet X Genesis is awesome though and worth it), oh how times have changed lol.

I hate to say it but that THING is growing on me....It must be the colors and the "funk" factor. If it goes on crazy sale in six months time for around $150ish shipped, I prob pick it up.

It has a funky feel to it, I would rather have Tryder or something but this does have that classic comedic robot feel to it. Right now though its too expensive for me to consider it but like you if it comes down in price quite a bit I might bite.

The engineering makes it look like this toy can not stand without it's support arm/stand. I have been thinking the same thing. Means not a lot of playability

Gotcha, but either way the design is horrible!Sorry to bring up this mess from the past.Last time I said how ugly it was a ton of people ran to it's defense,I really can't see why, unless you REALLY like Basketball!Ive always been under the impression that robot collector's and the like, werent big on sports, but I guess I'm sterotyping.Anyways, even if you do love robots, basketball, cars and ugly sneakers,Id have a hard time liking them all at once stuck together with screws!

Just goes to show the variety of members and collectors there are. I love robots, but I also love NASCAR, Country Music, cheesy 80's music, MMA, Rock, Comics, and watching PBS lol.

Yes, that is probably stereotyping. I am a HUGE basketball fan. Watched probably all but 1 or 2 games of my team this year. But then again, maybe I am the exception on this board. Regardless, I still have zero interest in that figure. Same goes for this supposed GX-63. I will give this anime a try based on the recommendations here, but that still does not mean that I want to expand my collecting horizons to include this product.

Dangan looks like a stripped down version of Megas XLR.

The anime is slow paced. Read the manga instead. Will save you a lot of time plus will likely be better too.

Ok. This Franky is really massive. I just visited Tamashi Booth and had a chat with them. Maybe it should not belong to GX line, but it is an impressive piece. Give me a bit time to upload pictures and a video (tonight). I also took pictures of GX-62 and SRC Shin Getter. Danguard is too small, beautifull but small.
