Any that you feel? Just trying to get an idea of his size. Sorry, I fell asleep. Hard working nights. =) I'll use a big SOC maybe Daioja or Daltanious and put them side by side.

What are the chances of this going on clearance just like the last Franky?

So EX Getter Dragon was shipped first… but Franky arrived first and we’ve been having a fantastic fun time!! The clickyness on this thing is delicious!! The completely articulated fingers together with the palm movement and head make it very expressive. That is a candy toy of General Franky. Comparisons with other Chogokins: The legs are sturdy enough and the upper body hollow enough to make it able to stand in notmal poses. With some balancing you can get very extreme poses. You still have the stand to be safe so that is a plus. Time for some Air Guitar! And now some opera: Cool things to note: - The feel of the tank treads rolling is WOW! - There are two Franky drivers, one for the bike and one for GF (I thought there was only one that got the arms removed). - The booklet is the best I have seen on a SOC. They really went out of there way to put pics of protos, production samples, sketches …. Full of text too… but in Japanesse - Tranformation has those little extras and moving parts that make everything lock. - Tons of articulation on the legs: Things that could have been better: - The fingers cannot close wheel around the sword if it is pegged. Just using the finger to grab the sword works better than using the peg. - The telescoping part that holds the front wheels could have been diecast. Feels like it gets a lot of force. - Better sculp on Chopper. Looks a bit off. - The candy toy integrates the motorcycle body. You have to open up the tank treads and the back looks wider but you still use all the parts. The SOC could have done the same: In conclusion, I really like this SOC!!

How's the quality and basic engineering? Is it a true SOC?

How's the quality and basic engineering? Is it a true SOC? It's certainly not Daioja in terms of engineering. The design it is based on is really straightforward. That said, there are tons of articulation and the fine little moving parts that you don't see at first glance definitely point to real SOC levels. For example, the cuff rings become the front wheels and the black part with the ribbed rolls perfectly on a ring. Quality feels great. Only thing I see is that Bandai is skimping on the box thickness. The contents is really heavy but the cardboard feels like it is having a hard time containing it (and this has a slipcase over the box too).

Cool to know that its a quality piece. With all the let downs with highly aniticpated releases its nice when one actually delivers. I'm not concerned about packaging since I never keep my stuff in boxes and I rather they save a penny in packaging then on the toy itself.

God, I found a cute way to load the bike piece on the GF's back and now have it posed holding every part it came with and it just looks so MASSIVE!!! Those big shoulder make for one über powerfull loking bot!! I'll post more pics later.

Yeah it looks fun, its not some badass super robot from our childhood but who cares. As long as you enjoy PLAYING with it that's all that matters. What a concept, a toy that's actually fun and not just a movable statue we stick on a shelf in a display cabinet lol.

Wow, didn't know that the legs could spread that far apart! Mine were tight so I was afraid I'd break something.

Thanks for the review and pics. The height of Voltes, but at least twice the mass. Look tasty. Mine arriving soon, but probably will wait a while before opening it. Currently not too in touch with all the One Piece stuff. But will start back in once I get a good clump of episodes to watch and get all excited about it again. Probably a fun piece to enjoy during Christmas.

Here is what I did with the motorcycle part. It just sits there but it works. Looks like a club back there. Now I can even put the real sword there (the rhino nose of the bike holds the katana). Time to wake up. Some stretching, Franky style. Now it's playtime! Playing with a chogoking playing with chogoking… METAchogokin!! Some pics of the booklet. Really wish I could read it. Aaaand fully loaded:
