Thanks for the tip. I just place my order there as well. First time buying from this shop AE had the lowest price (I did not even realize the Pre-Order was up). I am notice that the quoted Yen price for most retailers is quite high compare to the official MSRP (a delta of about ~ 10,000 Yen) . I think this is due to the strength of the USD vs Yen. They can make more money. Even P-Bandai US is charging way more Japan MSRP 39,600 Yen = $265.01 USD P-Bandai USA is 53,793 Yen = $360.00 USD All those few retail shops that do carry Kampfer (or any P-Bandai Exclusive per se) have markups, because they are 'reselling' them, since normal shops are not suppose to carry them. So it is a norm for those few shops (Anime-Export, Luna Park, BigInJap...etc.) to add a few thousand yen on the price. However, Luna Park and Kumara Toys putting it at around 49000yen is a bit steep, an extra 10000yen mark up. Adding shipping cost, it pretty much on par with buying directly from Bandai. AE was the normal best case scenario, they have markup added, but is more reasonable (5000yen), which will end up decently cheaper than buying from P-Bandai in US. But of course, they sold out before most of us even knew about it. You can either try to find one of those stores carry exclusives with least amount of markup (and catch them when their PO not sold out), or buy from P-Bandai US if you miss out on those (assume they ship to Canada). I think there will be no shortage of people who wants this figure on the secondary market P-Bandai USA only ships within continental USA - so no luck there. I have a local guy who (funny enough operates from the Farmer's market - smart way to operate by keeping his overhead down) that will deal in P-Bandai however he too is going through middle brokers. And he may not be able to secure the P-Bandai stuff in sufficient quantity as it is dependent how much stock his distributor guy can get for him. I like to support local where I can but his prices usually lands at around 2x to 3x of MSRP. (which I understand due to all the parties involved)

I don't remember if I've gotten stuff from P-Bandai before. Can anyone chime in regarding how much shipping typically is from them? I'm in California.
THanks.

Shipping there is fairly cheap, a $10 flat rate from my experiences (just checked my few previous invoice, all $10 shipping). I am from CA too. It is the tax that will bite us, at about 10%. So the Kampfer from P-Bandai will cost you roughly $406 shipped. They are a bit slow compare to Japan and HK, so I usually get my stuff shipped at 1-2 months later than item hitting Asian markets (but usually faster than BBTS, which takes even longer). I am guessing Bandai prioritize the Asian orders first, then fill the US orders with their later production batches.

I agree, tax sucks, but even amazon japan charges tax now so it can't be helped. I have to admit, I'm not a Gundam person, but the Kampfer really got to me....

That's the rub, P-Bandai has really no way to order from Canada. So, people like me, we go to the resellers like LunaPark. Per silver1spider, even with the markup, it is cheaper to go with these retailers because it coverts to less than the USD actually. So, it's fine. And for me, the Kampfer is a must-buy...it's literally one of my favorite all-time mech-designs.

Just got one from P-Bandai US. Server is unstable, but I managed to checkout with some patience. Missed out on Nin-Nin (just on that 30 min break I didn't constantly hit F5, and they dropped the PO...). No good discount for me, but am glad at least I got one.

Total bust for me. P Bandai SG sold out in under 10 secs after going live. How is that possible? P Bandai US sold out while I was checking out. P Bandai JP also unsuccessful purchasing through a buying agent. Edit: I tried P Bandai US again about an hour later and managed to get one, yay! Was getting the "order exceeds maximum available quantity" error when I tried earlier.

i agree with you, i even put in along with the other robots that doesnt scale with everything else indeed
when i saw Moshow Kampfer my jaw dropped so hard and when i compared it to Bandai's i felt like theirs is a KO not Moshow lol

i highly recommend it man its simple jaw dropping, a wow figure by every meaning
the figure structure is crazy good you can shake the heck out of it and it will still hold the pose not to mention the crazy heft it got
the sculpt is really cool and evil looking
tons and tons of accessories + a cool LED set for the thrusters around his body that can be controlled via remote (sold as a separate optional parts)
the articulation the gimmick and the paint are also superb

One of my favorite Chinese reviewers. Very thorough. Core body is 638g. That is a lot more than the typical MB/GFFMC which are usually 300-350g.
