I threw money at the screen and nothing happened, I guess it wasn't enough. I wonder what pricing is!

I remember watching an interview with a Bandai representative about the 1/35 prototype and they didn't have a set price, but I remember him saying don't be surprised if it's close to a grand.

Looks in the pics but if the price is too steep, i'll pass.
Btw, anyone have any idea how big is 1/35 scale going to be? The size of say a TFC Uranos or Hercules?

I believe the RX-78-2 is 18.5 meters tall, counting the top of the V-fin. So at 1/35 scale, it should be 52.86cm or 20.81 inches tall.

As far as I know, Bandai still yet to confirm the details, no scale has been mention yet. (please correct me if I am wrong.)
More info will come in Tamashii Nation 2013 event(Nov 1st).

And you're completely right, I do hope Bandai down scales the original prototype to be more affordable. BUT it's Bandai and they might be crazy enough to make it 1/35.

btw i think you are spot on newtype78, on closer inspection of the first pic posted by squall, it did mention the height to be 50cm!
it will be a big challenge squeezing this big boy into my display cabinet.

Nice. Wonder how many gimmicks the core fighter will have. Yeah, I'm also wondering about the price for this huge GFF. I wouldn't be surprised if it crossed the $500 mark--which would make it too expensive for me.

I love the idea of a 1/35 scale RX-78-2 but the probable price of several hundred dollars is too rich for my blood!

wasn't there some talk about this coming out a few years back, but Bandai cancelled the project because the tooling wasn't advanced enough at the time?
