i agree with most of what you said specially on SRC Grenidzer for Mazinkaiser there is only 2 versions the regular and the chrome unless you count SKL, technically SKL is a totally different beast than Mazinkaiser (im sure you know that but im just saying  ) and to answer you what could SOC bring to the table, in many cases the SOCs are loaded with much more diecast than SRCs, they are also bigger & heaver than SRCs, and in some cases more accessories also why not do both ? an SOC version and an SRC version ? specially on high demand figures, for example the GX-71 Golion yes im very happy we are finally getting a proper anime looking Golion, but im a greedy guy  so i also want an SRC version with ton of accessories, many forms of the blazing sword, a rocket punch like effect for the lion heads attack and for the missiles that come out from their mouth, an effect for the lion torches attack and lastly im very sure Golion had an attack similar to Grendizer space thunder but i forget its name lol , if they can offer all that in an SRC version with the figure been as tall as Mazinkaiser SKL, i would happily pay over a $100 for it |

I am thinking about getting Soul of Chogokin Gaogaigar. I loved the show and it gets really good reviews online.

I myself don't have the optional set but I think I can live without it. But getting Goldymarg while it is not a must, it is a nice compliment to the set and it is going for cheap nowadays so think about it (only if) you can find it cheap. |

Just keep this in mind when you're getting Goldymarg - it is a toy that's way too aware of the fact that most of its buyers will forever leave it in hammer mode.

Too bad the static stand it has only has you doing one or two poses. I do like the stand that comes with the Star Gaogaigar set as it gives me some more dynamic poses but heck,at $300+,I can see why many would skip it. |

Cheaper than ebay prices, and I think I paid similar (if not more) back then when I got mine like a year ago. BBTS's substandard box sometimes still look pretty good with very minor dings. See if you get lucky on it. |

$300 wouldn't be so bad. It was low to mid $200's (including shipping) to the US when it first came out IIRC.
