Toywave's website is often outdated though. I've ordered from them a few times only to find out a few days later that the stuff I ordered are out of stock. Haven't been back for a few years, but just checked there macross offering, they are listing stuff that were released in 2015 as future release. Go figure. Just don't get your hopes up if you find a good price. If stuff are in stock, I haven't had a problem with them in the past. I check jp sites first as well, then HK sites. Since Im late to the party I suspect JP sites will be abit expensive. I think NY has him for 270 usd? But checked toy wave and was like 190, that cant be true? So snatched him while I still have a chance.. Looking forward to this! Where do i get a cheap goldymarg guys? I know Bigbadtoystore.com still has him for like $140 before shipping and such. That is a good place to start.

I assume you mean Goldymarg had mixed reviews, cause I don't think there was any mixed opinions on GGG.

Yeah. As a toy,Goldymarg is very hit and miss with the various forms. But the one mode they needed to nail but due to things such as real life physics, the Marg Hand and Gordion Hammer weighs so much that even the diecast ratchets of SoC Gaogaigar can't do much to keep him up.
The clear stand was made to help remedy this but it mainly limited Gaogaigar to two poses depending on if you want the Marg Hand sideways or upright.
Seriously, realize life physics worked against Goldymarg and having a static stand for a diagonal pose for the Marg Hand or something that has more range of movement to adjust with the Marg Hand, you are more or less relegating SoC Gaogaigar to a statue more or less.

Which is what he essentially is. In Mary hand form he adds a lot to Goldymarg (at the expense of posing.) As a standalone SOC robot he is the worst of the line. In robot mode he is a tripod. With the gaps behind the legs and the toylike finish he feels more like a Takara retail Transformer that somebody scaled up. If you don't have GX-68 you have no reason to ever take GX-69 out of the box.

And first time ever that opponents are finally doing something to stop the protagonist when combining! That tornado that they use is too epic..those small things make this anime already unique and special.

There is indeed quite a few neat ideas in the show, using those tools in ways you never seen before. Who would have thought an orange squeaky hammer can turn enemies into light and gold dust LOL? But that is part of its charm. Also, its one of the few kids show that the main kid is not annoying. Mamoru is actually very cute and brave, contributing a lot to the GGG team. Props to the storywriting for making him a good character that is enjoyable.

I know Bigbadtoystore.com still has him for like $140 before shipping and such. That is a good place to start. BBTS has Goldymarg GX-69 for $119.00 right now. Just pulled the trigger on the GX-68 GaoGaiGar at toyWave for $190.00 and am praying that they can honor the order after watching the COllectionDX review on him and seeing all the glowing reviews here.

Be aware that packaging on toys from Amazon is not good, so chances of a dinged up box is higher. If you don't mind risking that for a good price, go for it.

Yeah. I already basically have everything from GX-68 to the Star Gaogaigar set. I really would like a second Gaogaigar to play around with.
