The solution for Grimlock isn't perfect but it beats paying a couple hundred bucks for yet another Grimlock figure that would make the MP obsolete. Still I can't wait for these figures!

Haha. We need another Grimlock... More shaped like what the new mp line bring us, more cartoon style. But not yet... The 3rd party products are getting more and more well designed with good QC and are flooding the collectors markets. MP line is now a very interesting focus for Transformers collectors. The incomming Warbotron is puting a new scale for combiners (with no $200 price for a single figure) and it complete well the MP line. Igear dropped on the Dinobots and MP line, so it's a great news that Fantoys keep playing in this scale. I can't stop recommanding the QuakeWave : such a great and true MP toy ! Soundblaster should really come out too while Takara is focused with the Autobot core team.

Better solution would be for them to scale this down to fit with the MP Grimlock instead of making boots add ons. Igears could still be in the game if they rip off this design and make a scale down version like they did with the original MP-01. Or they can rip off MP Grimlock and scale it up.
In regards to the new Warbotron Bruticus, i just don't like the looks of the figure at all. From vehicle mode, individual Robot mode and combine mode doesn't impress me at all. It just doesn't have the cool asethics of design like MMC's Predaking. Predaking isn't even my favorite combiner but I couldn't resist MMC version because all modes look good. I mean each individual figure as a stand alone figure is good enough to the point that I would buy them even if it wasn't part of a combining team. Now, I ain't crazy or rich enough to buy three set so I can display all 3 forms but it's definitely a set that worthy of doing so.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is the 200 price tag. I thought quakewave was slotted at a perfect price of 150.

hmmm the not slag looks pretty cool, as for the add ons for grimlock looks bad. i think there better off making an entire new Grimlock mold TBH.
now the not skyfire im actually looking forward to see even though im don't buy 3rd party products.

bahaahahaha....lady gagagrimlock.....that design is original but frickin funny.....a pair of bloody stilletos that transforms into a back pack blaster.......kabooooom!!! it would be funny if every other dinobot keeps including grimlock heels. So grimlock would have 4 added heels in heach foot. Also the price point is too rich for me. Why can't takara see that the dinobots and predaking is a money maker.

Transformation looks very basic : it's a kind of oversized G1 toy. I am still annoyed by those "wings"....

what you mean, lejam? Slag always had those wing panels since the G1 cartoon.

I mean, keeping wings is ok, but these are not designed wings, they are large piece of dino flank... It kills a bit the robot silhouette. The same about the dino head : in robot mode, if it could slide a bit down and give more a kind of "hood" for his head instead of a giant upper jaw behind, that could be more aesthetic... A bad guy with a hood

Grimlock's new high heels don't bother me. If you were a new collector, you wouldn't even notice. Blends well.

Wings look fine to me but I'm not so sure about that robot head on the bottom of his mouth. He needs a Dino retainer....
I cool with height extensions for Grimlock. I still don't have a Mp Grim but if I did I'd not want a new MP that was a little bit taller. It's basically saving people that own him 200+ dollars.

What an exciting time to be a consumer. With 3rd party companies competing with each other to produce the best figures, its a win win situation for us. These Dinobots look fantastic!
