I purchased Chrome Guttur. I don't have him in hand yet. I purchased it in part to appease my curiosity.

Just bought one from Chimunmung now I gotta sell my Metallic version. Anybody who wants it can have it for $100USD + s/h. No hip problems and I'm willing to meet for local buyers.

Will do, from the reviews I've seen it looks like Gigapower have made significant improvements.

Dropped my orders for MMC Mirage and Commotous and just paid for this chrome Guttur over at BBTS. Both MMC products were schedule to be released this month but MMC usually has delay. Still can't take the risk of it being in stock and hitting my credit card this month cause I am also waiting for the Truforce Megaman X and the small Warbotron Grimlock model kit, both are supposed to also be out this month. I'll order those those again when they come in stock or later down the road. I want this Guttur first.

Seriously, where can I buy chrome Snarl in Asia for a decent price and not get raped in postage costs. And pay in local currency not in US dollars. :/

A couple months back, I was really excited to see Gigapowers Guttur chrome version being released. I paid for mine at the end of October. Had it in my pile of loot and finally got it in last week. Tonight I finally found the time to open it up after moving stuff around my display cabinet to accomodate this piece. First impressions, I wasn't too excited with the box design. I like the original version better. This version of the box, not sure if the original one has a open flap, just didn't look impressive. So this chrome version, my expectation is to get a super premium figure. It came package in styrofoam. Which is what high end stuff comes in. So check that. The chrome however, isn't as nice as I expect it to be. Was kind of wishing for that electroplated chrome. The cherry red metallic paint looked good in the promos pictures, but not as nice in hand. Snapped a Dino mode pic and a bot mode pic. The transformation is simple and felt kind of clumsy. Its massive size makes it kind of hard to balance. The joints seems barely strong enough. I hate to imagine how the original version is like if this the chrome version is an improvement over it. The biggest disappointment I guess is when I go to put this into the cabinet. It wasn't until I place my other figures around Guttur that I felt it was completely out of place. It's simply just too big. Its head and face is almost as big as my biggest combiner, Feral Rex. Right now I have it displayed along side my PE Leonidas and Warden as it just doesn't feel right along side the other Masterpiece figures. Maybe when I get MP Ultra Magnus and have a couple bigger sized TF along side it to make it fit in better, I will like it more. But for now, it's only a so so figure. The year is about to end and my Favorite 3P figure I got this year still belongs to PE Leonidas.

I think Gutter is the perfect size for a MP Dinobot, he's big as he should be. It wasn't till I bought the Metallic version that I started to feel that figures like Warbotron anf Feral Rex were to small for MP collection. That's why I sold them and I'm buying the Toyworld Devastator (roughly 20" tall). Once you get Magnus and Star Saber, Gutter will fit in better since those two are as big with Star Saber even taller then Gutter.

I've seen pictures of Guttur next to MP Magnus and I like the way the two look together. Star Sabre, I have no interest in getting. But even so, the pictures and videos just didn't prepare me for this size. Still adjusting to it. I mean, I've placed the other MP figures I have around it and it just don't feel right or look right. Again, the whole time when I was transforming the figure and playing with the joints and pose ability I didn't notice it. But when I started to place it in the cabinet next to MP Optimus and the car bots, it just overly seems massive. I cleared out a spot for it, right behind MP Rodimus and Optimus and it just didn't look right. So I move it on to the top shelf for now and placed PE Warden and Leonidas with it. Waiting on the reissue of MP Ultra Magnus, got it pre ordered at Amiami. Should be around $130-140 shipped if the exchange rate stay relatively the same when it comes out next March/April. Magnus will stand next to it and maybe I will have some other MP figures in front of them. Did a head swap today. Switched angry face to the blue eyes and the silver vent helmet. Took quite a bit of effort but I like it better this way. Here's what it looks like displayed with the PE Leonidas and Warden. Still adjusting to it and liking it a little more each day.

I'm a little curious how some people could praise FT's Stomp and at the same time criticize GP's Graviter. They're both exactly the same with different surface details.

It's about face design, proportions, etc... Imo these 2 brands choosed 2 different styles : FT is roling in G1 wolrld, half G1 toy, half cartoon, while GP is more IDW with a touch of G1 toy and a pinch of cartoon. With time and money, I really want to get both versions. (Dinobots were my most wanted toys when I was kid...) The GP triceratops head has something good in term of shape : following the canon of this character with nice curves, tensions. Scoria has some flaws, but it's the line entry. He got some belly, dino head is a bit small, but the spirit is here. He choice to hide or not the dino legs in robot mode (cartoon vs g1 toy) is a good proposal. Too bad they didn't push the option with red/blue shest option in a box for soar, or Grenadier (Bombshell torso) like Badcube did with the insecticons. Yeah, we collectors are gloutons ! Sincerely, kuddos to all these Brands, producing toys is not cheap, while racing with TT : once TT MPs are out, it's quite game over in term of huge sale, not top ranking.

Turns out pretty good, but the styling seems to be a little off from his team mates. I like the cover they give for the inner legs to cover up the tail storage. Looks like a fun figure.
