Whoah...it looks pretty bad ass as a figure. I can't say if the sculpt is accurate since I only watched a few episodes.

This has me excited! I am loving the anime. It is totally an homage to other Super Robot Shows. Visually he has a kind of Arc Gurren Lagann flavor but the combination sequence is totally GaoGaiGar!

Chen I believe he's a model kit by koto. Still excited for this either way.

I'm eager as well to hear more and see more promo pics from Kotobukiya. Just a matter of time before we do. I'd lay odds on a December '14 or January '15 release for this kit. Man, Bandai and Koto are going to war for a dudes wallet! ($_$

outside the megaman model kit I've never built a koto kit before (though I've been tempted to get the zoids kits). How detailed are they when compared to Bandai's HG and MG lines?

The Kotobukiya kits I've tried, (FrameArms, SRW), are detailed but aren't quite on the same level as Bandai kits for articulation design and tend to fall apart when reposed. If you fix a pose they should be fine.

Some of that can be helped with gluing of non articulation parts I believe yes?

Heh, you're not the only one who's getting impatient actionawesome. But I wonder, how big is it going to be? The smaller robot (sorry, haven't watched the anime yet, don't know the names ) is very nicely detailed on its own. Can't be that tiny right? So how tall will Captain Earth be? 20 cm? Less? More? The lack of info is unbearable...

Well, in the show it is a pretty small mecha. The combination sequence reminds me of GGG so much. I want to say that it was about 3m tall. I would be happy with a 12" Captain Earth model but I am not counting on it! LOL
