in the wiki they are saying about AstroGanger however chogokinabdul is right he isnt a robot he is a creature thats why he is more unique than the others and Tetsujin 28 was the first giant robot i know he was remote controlled but he was the first BTW does any one know what Tetsujin means ? even Baron Ashura soliders was called Tetsujin Tetsujin means "iron man", or "one with a body strong as iron". Baron Ashura's grunts were called Tekkamen "armored soldiers" which obviously refers to the iron masks. zozo-mag oh my bad i meant Count Brocken soldiers were called Tetsujin thanks for the info guys

Ok, here is the thing ... Astroganger have metallic cells that creates his body unlike astrboy who have mechanical skeleton and mechanical devices that you can change if some parts got damaged, ganger on the other hand can't be opened and there is no way to change anything that needs fixing! He is very unique
Astroganger was aired two months earlier but you have to remember that mazinger was first a comic then a TV show.
As for Tetsujin he is a giant robot but not a super robot because he have no special unique weapons! Mazinger-Z was the first because he was the first to have special weapons that distinguish him from any other tank or fighter jet or any armored machine!
Burestk faiaaaa is Mazinger-Z Rustoo haracaaan is Mazinger-Z Rocketoo paaaanch is very Mazinger-Z
It is very SUPER ROBOT

Yeah, "Tetsu" is Japanese for iron, as already stated by many. So Tetsujin is literally "Iron Man" even if it was translated to Android. Android 28. As for "which was the first ever Super Robot", or "what defines a Super Robot" I'm not going to start a discussion about it because we're already going enough OT. And also because everybody have their own criteria to classify and define Super Robots I know Mazinger Z made the "giant leap" and defined the genre more than ay other robot in animation history. But its predecessors are not to be underestimated, or forgotten. That's all I have to say. Now, back on topic, let's see how many decades it takes before this figure comes out, hehe...

Well, the way I see it, the only animated giant robot character that made any significant impact before Mazinger Z was Tetsujin 28. The rest are not worth storage space in what's left of my memory space. They just weren't memorable enough as a whole. }D
