This looks too mechanical because it is a mech suit. Manga done by the same guy that did linebarrel

Have you guys checked out Sentinel's Tatsunoko Heroes Hurricane Polymar? It has diecast parts too.

Have you guys checked out Sentinel's Tatsunoko Heroes Hurricane Polymar? It has diecast parts too. It is not 12 inches tall. All kidding aside, I am curious on this figure. And I am surprised that no one mentioned it until now. Do you have it? If so, it would be nice to create a thread in the metal action figure section.

if this were 6 inches i would probably get it. I stopped getting this scale years ago. SHF/UA are making a similar figure in the near future.

The video showcase some pretty awesome engineering. Wasn't interested in this particular take on Ultraman before, but now I am very eager to see how this turn out and want to check out the manga too. But when I think about it, its quite an interesting take on Ultraman, as the suit design itself is very cool, a mix of hard surfaces and soft body suit. More interesting than Ironman IMHO, even though I love and collect HT Ironman suits. The manga is also quite cool. For those that are interested in the figure, you have up until 8/31 to preorder it from Sen-ti-nel's Global shop website (better deal without mark up): gen-ti-nel-global.com/

So with Sen-Ti-Nel's Global shop how does it work? Do we have to pay up front, put a deposit, or pay when it is ready to ship?

Just saw the final product photos of the figuarts version of this design and the face looks terrible. Compared to the Sentinel, the figuarts head is so devoid of detail I'm not sure what happened!

In my case, I paid with Paypal, so I paid in full up front. But you can choose credit card instead of Paypal, which probably only charge you when figure is released. But you should check to make sure, since this is also the first time I order from them. Apparantly, this Ultraman only shows up in their Gen-ti-nel or Gen-ti-nel Global webshop. Not their regular international shop in their English mother site, since its a special limited preorder of sort.

I thought maybe Paypal puts a hold on your funds then Sentinel charges you when it ships. At least when I was reading the FAQ Sentinel says they don't charge you until it ships.

Yeah, I used the Gen-ti-nel Global site. Not sure how they do it on the side of their site, but usually I end up paying up front whenever I choose to use Paypal. Be it in Gen-ti-nel, ebay, or other online shops that uses Paypal. But it doesn't bother me, and Sen-ti-nel is a big enough company that they are not going anywhere with my money. Just watched the first 6 episodes of the motion comics (sums up vol.1 of the manga). Pretty cool. Story sort of a direct sequel to the original Ultraman, following Hayata's son as the main protagonist. Though they ended at episode 7, so you'll need to continue reading with buying the rest of the manga. Also, need to know some Japanese to understand whats going on since there is no sub. Maybe I can scrap together some funds before the end of August.

Make sure you guys don't wait until the very last day, as the preorder closes on 8/31 Japan time. Hopefully I can still pick up the mangas locally at the bookstore.
