I hate dust. I don't think the detolfs from Ikea are dust proof? Hi bader! No, Ikea Detolfs are not dust proof. See video below Thanks, man. I think I'll try your method (:

You are welcome, but that's not my method. Just something I found online while researching the best way to display your collectibles.

Best way to display your collection? Well, lying around of course - preferrably without any sense of organization and with a thick layer of dust on everything! I wish I had a glass cabinet.

I have my detolfs sealed internally with some back adhesive weather strips. they come pretty cheap at Amazon. 2 packs did all four of mine and I had a bit left over. I will update later with a picture of the package that I bought.

Maybe a foam tape will do the trick and close the gaps? just look for the right size. I think I'll get a STUVA frame with some glass door and shelfs from Ikea instead of the detolf.

welcome on board kc!
i guess it depends where you are. in my country, i doubt ikea provides customized window display cabinets as most folk will opt for designers instead. ikea is good for detolfs which are quick and easy solution. however, i think the ikea from my country stopped selling detolfs.
