Never watched the anime, so no attachments to these new designs. Will probably sit this one out and save money for other lines.

just checked. its supposeto be aired in april in japan. but strangly the trailer i have seen so far is not appealing to me.

I'm going to be the opposing opinion, but what I saw of the unfinished 0.89 episode looks promising. It still has the three main pillars of macross ; the valkyries, the idols and the romance. I'm not sure how it can look un-macrossish when it has everything that makes macross, well macross. Macross over the years has always changed with the times and with Delta it will be no exception, but the heart and soul of macross is still there despite looking a little different. And Delta has regults in it! We haven't seen a Macross series with regults since the original!

I will stay out of it if i can, already have one too many macross frontier valks, might not have sufficient space to accomodate another series. Maybe just a single vf-31 with a colour scheme that i like (taking into consideration the upcoming endless repaints), but will definitly avoid the other delta design one, never like that anyway.

Wow. That looks pretty good. The only drawback I can see are the extremely thin forearms. I think they could have done without the flaps on the arms and keep them looking beefy. The knife compartment is neat but could have just been incorporated into the backpack or leg like the missle compartments of the YF/VF-19.
Either way I'll still get one.

Goodness. I've only started looking at Macross toys recently and I just cannot decide what to get—there's so much out there, and great-looking new stuff like this seems to be in the pipeline all the time! I wish they were bigger though; I may just wait for the upcoming 14" tall VF-1.
