As amusing as the Japanese fascination with black recolors is, is it just me? Or does someone seem to have missed a rather large core bullet point about Voltron when they selected him for the black treatment? I mean they did realize this was Voltron when they broke out the rattle cans of black spray paint, yes?

Guys look at the arm lion heads. They turn now! Wrist articulation!!!! Now give me some bicep swivels and we are good. More range in the ankles would be good too.

Impressive if Madtoys really went and retooled their toy so much for the official release. ^That's right the original KOB had firing lion heads and zero wrist articulation. On the black repaint above there's a new face sculpt. Hopefully that will also be included in the new version of the anime version.

i dont see any update in the face
for me if the only change is that red chest piece it wont be worth getting
i want it to be exactly like the new promo photo other than that im more than happy with the first release

Look at the close up of the black repaint's face and now compare it to my picture of the original retail version. The face sculpt looks different at least to me.  |

thanks man, i did the same comparison with mine and there is hardly any different between them
the main things are the black lion teeth are a bit longer and the nose is kinda narrower than the first release the rest is paint tricks
like i said it should be like the promo picture in order for me to get it but thats just me
it will be much better if the make it white instead of silver that will make the figure pop out more in my opinion

To me the face on the new one is longer and its chin is closer to the neck. New face sculpt looks much much better in my opinion. Check the first post.

Check the first post. in the first post that was a promo photo the final product was different specially in the face and and the paint app i feel it will be the same case with the 2nd release (i hope im wrong tho) |
