Man... in light of lacking SOC releases, I was really looking forward to this one. Hope it does push through, otherwise it will be a strange thing to have Star GGG upgrade parts as the only SOC for the year. lol. It's not even a stand alone item

I went ahead and got a refund for my pre-order. I was coming up on PayPal's 6-month statue of limitations and had to request a refund via opening a dispute (the vendor wasn't replying to any of my e-mails over the last month). I'm not having much faith anymore on this release because of the upcoming so-called "Ultimate" Voltron by Toynami. I can't see WEP allowing both to sell at the same time as the MT version (~$270 and solid engineering) would probably cannibalize sales from the Toynami one ($400 and the usual Toynami quality). All this being said, I am perfectly happy with my original MT-01.

the thing is MT said in their FB page dont preorder yet since we dont have the approval yet and sales are not finalized yet you got a point there every will will go for MT because its cheaper and full of diecast maybe thats why they are delaying MT license im happy with my first one too, but if they release it and i can buy it i will  |

I've found myself jumping on the bandwagon too late in past pre-orders for other items, and this item seemed too awesome that I didn't want to miss out on it. |

Don't forget the persistent rumors of Bandai having something in the works. Not to mention the over the top success of the new Netflix show changing any and all calculus for WEP. If MT/Infinity Gokin had not locked in a license deal, chances are it has quickly gotten far to expensive for them, and big players are now in the room.

It's that the existence and success of the new show and new design May and likely will make WEP decide to preclude any styled updates of the old in order to avoid brand confusion. They will happily pimp old and new versions. But this is not really the best moment to be pushing a fan or third party non cannon update as a product offering. |

found this seller who have the MT KOB both the black version and the regular one, he wrote it will be available between August - September !
i also found some online stores saying its in stock !
in my opionon if thats is true it will be a hard competition between the SOC & the KOB

I hope the information from lcmtoy is accurate. I sent messages to MT in their fb page but got no replies...
We will know by end of July, if the release date is accurate. The black version is supposedly using the official mold too right?
If it comes up by end of July then the regular ones will comes up on August as per lcmtoy confirmation.

You guys are killing me!!!
I was all content with getting my SOC Voltron and then I happened to see this string and read all the comparisons being made between the two. Well I shouldn't have.
NOW I WANT THE BOTH!!!!
Self talk: The KOB doesn't look bad and I will only have one Voltron with the SOC. Everyone else on the board has more than me. It won't hurt to have two of them. Yeah yeah. That's a great idea. This LCM guy can help me. Yeah yeah. My wife will be ok with it because she will just use it as an excuse to add to her own collection. Yeah yeah. All will be right in the universe.

i was thinking about getting the new official KOB but since i own the unofficial one i thought its best to go with the SOC, both are must to have honestly if you have the money, but so far we need to hold the SOC personally to decide which on is the true king of beast

On the Google+ "Voltron Community" I read that Mad Toys was formerly known as Miracle Productions. Is it possible that the KOB was designed by the makers of the Vehicle Voltron from a few years ago? It seems kind of hard to believe.
