I was able to pre order at my local comic book store through the previews catalog. I was told that Bluefin has picked up the USA release. Don’t worry guys there will be another round of USA pre orders and there will be plenty. I hope what you say is right. But unfortunately, NOT! That's not how's work with BANDAI. Another round of USA preorder? Nah! not gonna happen.
I didn't mean to discourage you, but being too optimistic could led you to a false hope. BANDAI never open multiple pre-order for the same product. In fact, they seem to limit the amount of distribution, so the market isn't going stale. If they say this product is PREMIUM, they mean it! If you wan't that premium product, then you have to compete with other customer and pay top dollar for it. This happen in Japan too!
BANDAI sometimes reissue old product when market demand is so high, that create inflated price at secondary market. Most of the time, NOT!
If you follow BANDAI track record, then u know what I mean.

The market demand is high on Voltron, so its coming, just look at GX-72 Megazord, its been on pre-order for over a month now on multiple sites, and its the U.S version box.

All the pre orders so far is for the Japanese re-issue, except for one place that already posted the Bluefin release. Yes BANDAI never opens multiple pre orders. But the American release has yet to be posted. Keep an eye out. Also the US release is bigger and more stock. Amazon will carry the Bluefin release.

The comic book store guy? The USA preorders that already went up are the US release with the voltron slip cover. Those are the only ones allowed to be officially sold is USA. If you preorder from outside the USA you will get golion box only. I also tried to preorder from my local comic shop. He is ordering them but is not taking preorders because Bandai is not guaranteeing shipment. It is always possible more will go up for preorder. it is false that the US preorders that went up already were the Japanese re-issue.

My shop ordered multiple Mezco Previews exclusive Punishers and didn't get a single one.

Eknightmedia is for Japan re-issue? Amazon? When? See, when BANDAI open pre-order, it means open for the world!! Barcelona, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada (even for a little amount of it) Mexico, Brazil, all of it.

Only the Japanese sites will be the Golion version(without sleeve). All sites like bbts, eknight, Amazon, etc should have the sleeve. Both are for each version depending on region. Nippon-yassan has Japanese version(without sleeve), as probably will hlj. That's how it was for the 2016 release. Managed to secure one at msrp at my local comic shop, will have to wait till October which isn't a problem for me😎.

It would make a lot more sense if Bluefin Distributions has yet to solicit the SoC Voltron for ordering, for supply to be this short. If all we are seeing are the GoLion Bandai Japanese Distributions orders, then that explains the shortages. But then again, if the online retailers in the USA are importing GoLion SoC from Japanese Distributors, there would be some markup in the price.
In any case, there is going to be at least one difference between this reissue and the original release. Bandai switched to the Blue Label logo sometime ago. So one immediate difference would be that the new one will have a Blue Bandai logo on the box.

As long as the figure is the same, I couldn’t care less about the label or packaging being different, haha!

I dont think that's true. If that is the case There would have been some notice saying it's the Japanese box. Big stores like EE and bbts respect collectors and don't want that kind of trouble

From my experience, all the main official USA sellers will all be from Bluefin Distributions unless otherwise stated. Like others have said, if it's the japanese ver, the price will be higher than the MSRP due to shipping and importing cost, and they will loss money if they were to sell it at the USA MSRP price.
All of these official USA items will have the Bluefin Distributions WARNING STICKER on the box. It will normally cover over the Japanese Bandai warning label.
Buying from an official USA store will give you Blufin support should your item comes defective right out of the box. This is for situations when the store you brought from no longer have extra's to cover a exchange/replacement. You will then contact Blufin along with invoice and the USA Bluefin Distributions warning sticker that's on the box.

Or are you telling me Bluefin/Bandai have been siting on a bunch of them for over a year? Makes no sense to keep a bunch of product only to sell them over a year later at the same price.

I get your point.... whatever first batch or second batch they have available it’s just taking more time to sell than Voltron. That’s all I am saying ....there is more Voltron fan base than power rangers. I for one don’t care about PR not my cup of tea. Many collectors feel the gx-72 got cheated in engineering against gx-71 but that’s another story for another day.

The GX-72 is a re-issue. It was announced along with re-issue of the legacy line. Bandai let the Power Rangers license go, and the license expires at the end of March. Bandai wanted to get the last of the Power Rangers line out before they lost the license. The first issue of GX-72 did sell out but took much longer than the GX-71. The first issue of GX-71 sold out fast. The GX-72 is not left over stock.

Just a curious note. Amazon is not offering the re-issue of the GX-72 megazord for preorder. They also don’t have a preorder for the GX-40R God Mars up. The last Soul of Chogokin that went up for preorder was the GX-85 Titanus. Perhaps Amazon isn’t getting preorders of the SOC line anymore?

What's going on with them?
