I think it's a good height. It has the needed presense yet still fits on a shelf. Matching up with Voltes V, Daltanius and such is perfectly fine by me.

10 inches might not be as bad in person . With the weight , bulky legs, arms and the boxy chest along , it will definitely feel bigger than 10 inches .

While I like the updates they did to the MT Voltron, the paint finishes really turn me off from buying another one. The finishes should be better for something that expensive. Will wait until there are some in hand photos, but most likely won't be buying another one anytime soon.

The latest price on Amazon Japan is ¥ 38,180 =$ 364,unbelieveable! I donˊt care whether it is¥ 38,180 or ¥32400,but please give me an excellent soc voltron.I donˊt hope it would be more in name than in reality。

One thing people seems to forget, it that i tmight be impossible to get a full anime accurate version of a toys, no matter wich one. Reason; Physics A figure must stand on his own, have balance. The weight must be central, if not the joint will weaken over time (Fewture Models ex.) This is Voltron, it'S not Optimus Prime with it's big leg, where the weight is down. Just the fact that the central piece is the largest and biggest one, the Black Lion, the torso must be short for the gravity center, else it will tend to fall down. And also, those are still prototype that you see! You can get an anime accurate Voltron in robot form no problem. Bandai's SRC line is the perfect format for it. Just as they did with the Sentai's and God Sigma. The problem is when you try and make a perfect transforming anime accurate Voltron. Which is never going to happen. The Lions proportions shift via anime magic. Not to mention the dreaded lion legs disappearing. Honestly looking back at some of the original GoLion materials and offerings, I can't help but suspect that Toei and Popy/Bandai all likely considered the exposed Lion Legs in robot mode to be the cannon detail. All of the period toys have them, including the ones that don't transform. The only place the legs disappear is in the cartoon. And this was obviously anime magic to reduce art and animation tasks. I think that's what he was saying? maybe he just didn't elaborate enough. I too agree, transforming characters that require "anime magic" (basically all of them, really) will always face issues in three dimensions, which is something we all know. Anyway, Bandai has gone with a lovely vintage toy vibe; and in my book it's a success. Provided the engineering and finish is of a high standard, they'll have a winner that will have people singing praises by early next year. It's kinda weird that some are trying to pass judgement going off that super rough Wonderfest prototype XD

Seeing it in person, the size did not phase me at all. It seemed just right, in my opinion.

Not too happy this is only 10" tall like Voltes. I was hoping for God Marz or Daltanious height. But for what Golion is to SOC, I'll still take it. Better than nothing. The offcial announcement it is 27cm which equals to 10.6 inches. So soc voltron will be as tall as GX-59 Daltanious rather than Volts. But we have to judge it at the last minute, because there are many discrepancies between the official data and real size. E. g. gx 61 Daioja in official website is 30cm ,but it is 26.2cm in real size. I hope Bandai wonˊt go too far. Here are some real sizes with popular soc robots. Gx 13 Dancouga 25.6cm Gx 31 Volts 25cm Gx 36 Ideon 30.7cm Gx 40 Godmars 28.1cm Gx 59 Daltanious 27.4cm Gx 60 Godsigam 29.5cm Gx 61 Daioja 26.2cm Gx 65 Daitarn 3 25cm GX 68 Gao Gai Gar 27cm

Do you know if GX-13, at 25.6cm, how they calculate height? At the head or at the canon at it back?
I have it on display on the basement, but don't have time to measure it now.
I hope Voltron fits in a Detolf case.

10-11" to the head seems about perfect. Many common shelves are 12" or so. Both the Toynami and the MM Vehicle Voltron are too tall for some of my shelves.

With many SOCs standing little over 7", 10-11" is pretty big in comparison.

BTW. Do the Arm Lions come with their respective Lions having their Arm Vulcan weapons within their mouths?
I saw it as an attack in SRW and it seems that this Voltron can also do the Four Lions Attack that most toys don't have the luxury of accomplishing.

Well I got lucky with HLJ opening up pre-orders briefly this morning and managed to get my order in for Voltron. I can only say that persistence sometimes pays off. I had been refreshing that page on and off for the last week now. Really looking forward to this one. My wallet however is another story.
