I can't imagine that the BBTS would hold on to a hot item instead of selling it for a premium. Also, this was a pre-order. So, that means that they will be receiving more stock. For those who haven't got one, hopefully this will happen at other shops. Let's keep our eyes peeled.

Something is going on with Bandai. Some long sold out Monsterarts stuff has also been coming up on BBTS as a sold out preorder this month. Someone on YouTube said something about them doing a special sale or lottery of previously released stuff. I'm not sure exactly but it doesn't seem exclusive to the gx-71. I emailed bbts month ago and they said they had no shipments or plans on receiving anymore. Maybe something changed but I already have second one for Lion mode so I'm good. But I do have casual SoC collectors friends  who want one for themselves that missed out. |

He was initially listed 299 for first pre order and no one is bitting..and then bammm....sold out afterwards |

The $350 price means they are having to source it from a Japanese importer, much like they do "exclusives" and aren't getting it from Bandai. It might also mean that they don't know the final MSRP price yet and are using their higher estimate for pre-order. If they can get it cheaper the price will come down. |

Here is the YouTube link I'm getting this info from. They may have gotten a small lot of unsold stock from somewhere else. Stuff kept in a warehouse someplace. It happens occasionally. Especially from the manufacturers. Before an item is withdrawn from distribution generally all remaining product will be pulled back from the regional distribution and offered to the other areas. So if there are a few unsold Voltrons in Region 1, they may get shifted to region 3 at the end. |

I really want to get this guy for my birthday but the prices are so high now that having it at $400 under is considered a bargain.
Anyone got an SoC Voltron to get rid of in good condition that they may want to part with in a couple of months?

I'm pretty sure Bandai knows that there's still a huge demand for it. Or at least some unsold ones from another region that can make it your way. Also for the thread, a photo I posted elsewhere based on a Super Robot Wars 4koma  Next SOC I would like to get is Daltanious. I highly doubt the next SOC announcement will be Dairugger, so I'll put whatever I'm saving up for it on hold for now. |
