They literally sculpted in the ab crunch on the leg lions without giving them the actual joint so yeah.

Straight up copied the SoC engineering for the combination - nice touch on the tail on the arms got to give them that Those sound effects are kinda annoying, hahaha! Happy for those people who will be getting one! Thanks for the vid!

Preorder cancelled......(towards the middle of the video you can see) they didn’t fix the shoulder issue present in the LD. If you want to move the arms up and down you have to rotate the whole shoulder piece. On the LD it’s no big deal but it’s gonna break up the red chest piece on the classic and look weird...Voltrons from the 80’s figured this out yet Playmates can’t....$123 going towards Icarus KOB 2.0. At least they know what they’re doing.

Great.
All this talk about the SoC in comparison to the new Playmates Classic Voltron is not helping my buyer's regret of getting the SoC Megazord before the Voltron.

Tail/joint looks like diecast. Also, the longer tail seen to be improved over the bandai one.
Finally I will manage to have 2 sets. Original combined, ko on lion mode.

I am curious as to how Bandai will react to this if they know. Cause I would think that they would be more protective of their acquired licenses compared to Takara/Hasbro. All I want is to just get the SoC and not pay the ridiculous aftermarket prices if I can.

According to the rep in an interview i read here, Bandai IS VERY WELL aware of the demand for SOC Voltron and the after market price.... He implied that after all the obligation from the factory is met, Bandai will...or at least SERIOUSLY consider rereleasing it.
So do not, DO NOT buy SOC at $700, $500, even at $400!! In very near future ( within a year id predict), he will be available for around $300 from real retailers. Again, do NOT feed scalpers...wait. SOC Voltron is worth the wait....believe me.

Actually if you all remember the SOC Voltron kept going up in price at BBTS and still kept selling out and add rising cost of shipping prices the new retail price for SOC Voltron won't be $300. I think last batch was like $350 not including shipping at BBTS before it totally sold out. Every year shipping goes up so you have to account for that as well since this Voltron is like heaviest SOC. $375-380 was considered a steal after it just sold out. I got one at $280 then 2nd for $375.

Ok, 300 to 350 from a REPUTABLE retailer then. Just dont buy it from a shady 3rd party seller......something like " Amazing Japan Fun"
Just dont be a "Lego Grandparent."

It would be interesting to see if Weijang can dodge any of their attempts to shut production down.

But then again, any lower price would be reasonable compared tk the prices the SoC is going nowadays.

i would say buy it from a place that have private warehouse or pile of lot service, so you can save up again for shipping
hopefully it will be reissued again, this gokin is a must in every collection even if you are not a fan of the show or the character

Yeah I've been thinking lately how expensive and bigger these "toy collectibles" are now these days. Seems 1/6, PG,DX size items are popular and average costs is $300-$500 easily now. That's the new norm. Like Hot Toys Hulkbuster like $900??? Do any of you ever sit there and look at your collection and roughly estimate and total it all up? I know I've done it and joke to people I could buy a nice used car with what I spent. 😂
But they damn sure look bad ass all displayed. I haven't been so happy and proud about collectible line Since I got into Chogokins though and I've collected many toy lines.
