Here are some links. The first video has the mistake of using a weird thin screen for the video. You will know what I am talking about after watching. But later videos no longer have said issue.

This thing looks incredible. What are people's problems with it? I for one am very enthusiastic about it, but i get why there are negative opinions on it: 1. the pricepoint is ridiculously high for an all-plastic combiners. Even if the size makes up for it, it cannot really justify the price when 3rd party combiner transformers are at the same pricepoint AND can individually transform. 2. the non-ratcheted hip joints.. quite a bummer. 3. the shoulders of the black lion in combined mode; came undone in the Stealth Ex review. i do love the uniqueness and size of it, so yea, i'm sold for a poseable display piece, it looks awesome! i just realised that in the lion modes of the Stealth Ex review, the reviewer discovered some odd articulations on the red and green lions heads (the upper jaw splits in two and can articulate). Could it be to emulate 'fingers' in combined mode, with the lower jaw as thumb?

Another review from Caveman, this one for the articulations in combined mode.. still a bummer about the ball-jointed hip and that mis-designed waist collar that restricted waist swivel, but it's still a big articulated Voltron

I get you though but for the folks who may earn some income from doing reviews I just figured that there would be more.

CollectionDX has a written/pictorial review of the Stealth EX. The review didn't address the major problems such as the ball jointed hips and restricked waist swivel though. Still, the Stealth EX has a very beautiful paint scheme, compared to the rather drab KoB Stealth (as seen in their promo pics so far) CollectionDX Toynami Ultimate Ex Voltron (Stealth)

It's on sale at BBTS right now. Never owned it.
I think this figure could be better, I feel like it has no soul. It tried to mimic Fewture in doing Voltron on steroids.
Also the brand Toynami is not renowned.
I still have the 20th anniversary Voltron next to the SOC. I always felt that one was great, even with a few QC issue.
But the EX it never sold well, and when it went on sale when they announced GX-71, so bad timing.
Also expensive.

I’d love to own it but I have a hard time w the price. Even at $300 it’s too much. 5 plastic lions, a sword and shield.....

I got this in December, with the excuse that it was a Christmas gift for my son. I secretly wanted it because I thought it would look good in my Voltron display. And I was right - it looks killer between the Matty Collector and Giant Trendmasters. I love the bold, powerful styling. And the paint is gorgeous - the mix of metallic and matte colors must be seen to be appreciated. The huge, ornate sword and shield add to the aesthetic.
When disassembled, the lions are unique among my 35+ Voltrons. They're designed to mimic the anatomy of the real life big cats - large, deep chests taper into narrow waists and hind quarters. They hit dynamic poses, and the articulation is great. The size is a bonus.
That being said, this thing PIS*ES ME OFF!! It's basically like a really hot girl you meet in a bar, then take home to find she's a BASKETCASE! The lion's legs share similar design to the SoC, in that they have outward motion. But, the FIRST TIME posing Blue Lion, the front hip was left completely loose. Now, when I form Voltron, the leg flops. 100% annoying.
Everything that was anticipated before release regarding weak hips has come to fruition. As well, the knees are wobbly at all of the double joints. This thing is huge (and pretty heavy for all plastic). If it would tumble over on to prime pieces like the GX-71, GoLions or Gladiator Voltron - well, a grown man would cry. Right now, it's in my workshop awaiting nail polish application.
I paid $300 for this. And I'm glad I've got it. Its stylized hulking presence is undeniable. But, also undeniable are its festering issues.

I got it in December as well as a Christmas gift form my wife so even if I wanted to I cant sell it I like it, the lions are great but yea its biggest flaw are the hips. I added to floor polish to the hips and stands just fine. Its been sitting atop my detolf for the last six months with no issue.

For me, yes... it's worth $300. It's got problems. But it's a big, awesome piece. I've got a version of every Voltron except the Panosh Place, and that SD Combiner thing that came out a few years ago - and it's not like I couldn't track those down. When it comes to Voltron - I'm an enthusiast. But, knowing your collecting habits well, I'd say it's not for you. It's not just its issues - it's just out of line with what you like. It's all plastic and designed by Toynami - as cool as it is, I'd say it's the polar opposite of a FEWTURE Model, or a DX. And that's the kinda stuff you're really into. You've got two awesome iterations of this SR. If you're looking for a third, I recommend a vintage GoLion. That's my personal favorite. It may be 35 years old, but it's the one that started the whole Voltron craze. For me, that's the essential piece.

thank you for your feedback my friend
i would say dont let the Mazinger z avatars fools you lol, Voltron is one of my favorites as well, i have 5 Voltron figures so far
2 Toynami's (the 25th anniversary metallic plastic version and the 30th anniversary diecast)
Mattel Blazing sword voltron
MT KOB the very first one
and the SOC
hopefully i will add the Super Minipla version and the KOB V.2
i honestly dont mind the plastic if its high quality plastic like Three A (Three Zero) Mazinger z, im totally cool with it
but i would really really hate it, if the figure have hard time standing by it self or keep falling apart every time i touch it or look at it hard enough lol
you know what you should do a review about this piece lol
