didn't understand a thing except Mazinger Z, Jet Scrander and Go Nagai here what i noticed, the eyes didnt change colors when she remove the Jet Pilder , and if the silver parts are diecast this will be awesome they talked about Golion and Daizujin @ 1:38:00 (Golion before Daizujin) Regarding the eyes, I suspect it works very similarly to the SH Monsterarts first release Kiryu (modern Mechagodzilla for the non Kaiju types.) The top of the head pops off and either replaced or the eye color insert is replaced. It would explain the seam we see around the base of the crown. That's where the head opens or comes off to change the eye color. The alternative might be a small lever similar to how the Takara Masterpiece Grimlock's eyes change color. The color change is likely not tied directly to inserting the pilder.

It's within the realm of possibility that GX-70 will come with an alternate head as well.

haha... i don't know where you're getting your info, but you need to check it better. hahaha, this made my morning! all this herei don't have much money and may not have many figures, but i am an expert in mazinger things, and this is one of the funniest paragraphs i've ever read. the information is all distorted. but im just going to ignore anything else from now on, as i don't want to cause fight and spamming. LMAO, i guess you are suffering from something called composite ignorance, in this state the individual is ignorance but he don't know that and he act like he isnt one, sad i know and honestly i wasn't going to correct you since your level of ignorance is very amusing to me, but i want to show you that you are not an expert in Mazinger z and you don't know anything about Mazinger z first this is the early work of Mazinger z this design was modified for the pilder then it was used for Energer Second this is the first Manga for Mazinger z, dose this design look like the GX-07 for you ? hmmmmm lastly all what i said was FACTS not something i came up with like you, and no one can ignore facts

Second this is the first Manga for Mazinger z, dose this design look like the GX-07 for you ? hmmmmm Wrong! This is the TV Magazine (Kodansha) cover for the manga released after 1973, with Mazinger changed to look like the anime. Mazinger Z first appeared on Shonen Jump on Oct 02 1972 (see following cover):

No need to fight actually... If you want more information on early Mazinger Z drawings, I really recommend this book: www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4063300765/The book includes all art from the first Mazinger Z manga releases, including all the original covers. From there, you can clearly see the different steps in the evolution of Mazinger Z: - Energer Z (with the motobike on top)
- Mazinger Z on early Shonen Jump issues: essentially identical to GX-07, U on the bottom of the chest, white Pilder, red around the eyes
- Mazinger Z on later Shonen Jump issues: still similar to GX-07, but with a red Pilder
- Mazinger Z on TV Magazine (1973-1974): identical to the anime version, sometimes with red around the eyes in 1973
I'm attaching two other covers from Shonen Jump (earlier issue first); you can see the Pilder changing to red later in 1973:

Mazinger Z first appeared on Shonen Jump on Oct 02 1972 (see following cover): nice, but did you read all of my post ? i said Toei give the design we know to Nagai and he approved it but he was already starting the Manga so he cant suddenly change it, however the content of both Shonen Jump and Kodansha is exactly the same, my point was if Nagai waited that design would go to Energer directly most the info i said is from Mazinger Bible where Go Nagai talked about all this stuff along with other projects, and for most people Mazinger z is from the Kodansha covers (the one from the anime) the very first original design and the one after will always be Energer

Easy guys. Its ok to disagree but please be more respectful. im a man of peace bro you know, its just that i dont like when people state their opinions or thoughts as facts, i had the Mazinger bible all the info i said was from it, it even says how Go Nagai thought about Mazinger z but im not goint to burn that its a good book you should read it also when i dont know something i say i dont know, i will look it up or ask the person to explain there is no shame in that at all, we learn from each other in this hobby, my bad that i didnt explain more about the jump from Shonen Jump to Kodansha, the Shonen Jump was indeed the first but the Kodansha got more successes thanks to the new design and the TV show, for most people the original concept will always be Energer last thing i want to add that, Mazinger has two manga, one by Go Nagai himself, and the other by his assistant, Gosaku Ota both with different stories and direction

Actually no, Go Nagai didn't change his Mazinger design in Shonen Jump, and the one he did for the TV Magazine was more in collaboration with the TV show that is completely separate from the Shonen Jump run, so it featured the TV style Mazinger Z with much lighter shorter stories compared to the Shonen Jump. However they did mix both Mazingers when they did the comic book releases, so the Mazinger design kinda goes back and forth between episodes. BTW Energer was more of a paper desgin that never made and was first introduced in a Mazinger guide book of sort. this is correct, heck even some old mangas there sometimes mix version of mazinger z desing like the Shin Mazinger Z impact anime or how the breast plates has 4 version of it. it always changes from the hands of its own creator to any other artist. anyway please let's not derail more the topic, this is about the discussion of the GX-70 Mazinger Z DC so let's get back to it.
