By the way, can any soul of Chogokin collector confirm if the plastic they use on these products is the same type we see in the Legacy zords? I got the Legacy Megazord for my 8 year old. It's very nice. Coming from the era when Matchbox Voltrons filled the shelves of Toys R Us, I think this is the level of quality all toys should have. But, the SOC plastic is absolutely far superior in every way. There's no comparison. I haven't really been paying attention to this thread, because as soon as I saw the initial pics I knew I was getting it. It's beautiful. It's exactly what I want in a Megazord, and I'm looking forward to adding it to my collection next month. I don't think this robot has attained the pop icon status of Voltron in the States. But, people have been collecting Super Sentai/ Power Rangers stuff for years. The kids who loved Power Rangers season 1 are now in their thirties. They have expendable incomes and children who are fans. When it releases, reviews by collectors who have never handled an SOC will peek interest in this massive fanbase. I'm confident it will sell well.

So after our gx 72, we have the next three (?) SOC releases pertaining to Mazinger, do you guys think we might see a dragon Caesar in the next two years ? I understand there are two slots per year for SOC releases, so at best we might see dragonzord in late 2018 or 2019

If it sells pretty well, big possibility that we get a dragonzord or even a titanus later on

Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar is likely, Titanus/King Brachion is debatable due to his size. The HMR Monster was already a tough sell and that would be a similar size. It might end up as a P-Bandai.

Premium Bandai or Tamashii Web Exclusive are limited run, usually special edition type stuff. Sometimes its things that would price most people out enough to be prohibitive for mass-market. They open pre-orders for a certain window and only manufacture that many. Only Japanese residents are able to buy, so you have to use a proxy or middleman. And it encompasses all of Bandai's premium toy lines.

It's a well known and different mecha. Titanus is the carrier vehicle. They've never shown any sign of doing any of those in SOC. They were all originally non Chogokin DX. There is a long list of things we will likely see before either Dragonzord or any big carriers. Just from the preliminary design work seen in the 20th Anniversary book. We know they have mapped out a nice Jeeg, possibly a ChoRyuJin from GaoGaiGar, possibly a Gordion. Plus rereleases of Baikanfu and Dancouga.

Though still I would keep spending at a minimum for myself so long as I have a stable $300 at the very least.

Seeing that just makes me more upset now that I had to cancel my pre-order. That's an impressive knee bend too - WHY WASN'T THAT IN ANY PROMO FOOTAGE?!

Glorious! I just shed a tear What a way to wake up, thanks Chen. My thoughts: No doubt this is the definitive Megazord, not just from MMPR, but of any toy from the power rangers franchise. If there was one subject to give the royal treatment, Daizyujin was the right choice. I LOVE that they made the packaging reminiscent of the 1993 toy, styrofoam packaging included. I'm gonna call it now: The US packaging will look something like the original packaging with a twist: The tyrannosaurus has more articulation itself than any zord produced by Bandai, giving it a lot of character. Im so thrilled at those shots showing these poses, it could just as well be the suit in the show: Im also thrilled they added an ankle tilt by articulating the sabertooth and triceratops heads, and have given Daizyujin independently articulated fingers. The definitive Power Rangers tribute IMO, and these images will hold us over until we have it in our hands. The only doubt I had is whether the wheels on the sabertooth and triceratops roll for tank mode. Not a big deal though
