According to LCM toys. The delay was due to a quality control problem. The legs an the black lion would not stay connected the blue and yellow lions. They had to fix them so the delay. hmmm they had more than enough time to make it right, so i m not sure if that is the real reason, however hopefully it will be out soon

Is anybody buying a word either Icarus or LCMtoys says at this point? Weren't they promising to have these out in November, but Bandai blocked their license or somesuch BS? It's a bootleg? Have we ever seen a Boitleg company pull a batch or send it back into the factory to resolve a leg lock issue, once they have product made? Remember the V1 MMVV got shipped to paying customers. There are plenty of KOB V1 specimens out there, and I don't think anyone has ever seen anything resembling customer service for things such as legs falling off? I just looked back at this and other KOB v2 threads, and Icarus's Facebook. Pretty much every single thing they have said about this product since it was announced has been a lie. Every single statement! Every announcement! Every claim! I think the only one that I can't so far see a provable deliberate falsehood in is the claim about what swords it comes with. But that's only because we haven't seen what's in the actual box yet. But given the astonishing volume of lies and outright fraud, why believe them now?
I really hope that there is nobody else that pre-paid for a pre-order out there?

How is a non-licensed company doing their own interpretation of a character a bootleg?

How is a non-licensed company doing their own interpretation of a character a bootleg? A non licensed company doing their own interpretation of a licensed character, putting false trademarks on the product, and publicly claiming to be official licensed product? It is in every definition a bootleg.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't remember seeing any trademarks on the box or instructions or anything of the v1.0? ------------------------------------- Anyways, do you actually have interest in purchasing this product? In the sense of actually buying it.

This is response I received from LCM toy on May 31. " Hi Friend, Sorry for my late update. Their QC found some joints are loose and it makes the combination imperfect. As a result, they needed some time to rebuild the component. I have seen the batch at their factory last month, so I believe they will be available very soon. I am a not cheater and won't run away. I guarantee you will get your Golion very soon. There are more photos of dark version in my Google album. You can check them out here: goo.gl/photos/bU8nPXHBHJtpQJLP8Thank you for everything. Regards, lau" Unfortunately when buying from third party it is buy at your own risk. I however, don't believe LCM or Icarus toys is trying to cheat us. I do believe they are trying to get the figure released. Icarus clearly does not have the resources that Bandai has. As far as I remember the V1 was also delayed. I am curious as to how Icarus toys believed they had license from WEP when they didn't?

I'm pretty sure it'll see some incarnation. I've got a black one on preorder just in case. If not, no big deal. It would be cool to have one to compare it to the GX-71 side by side. I'm a bit of a completist.

This isn't something that there would ever be any ambiguity or uncertainty about. Ever! Mad Toys knew it wasn't able to be licensed when he sold or traded it off to them. He's outright said it was no longer under MT because "Licensing Issues". Icarus surely knew they didn't have the license when they used WEP's trademarks in their marketing and packaging.

There weren't any on the V.1's box. It also carefully never called itself Voltron or Beast King GoLion. Just "King of Beasts" which is just generic enough to pass the smell test. But for V. 2 Icarus has revealed multiple marketing pictures showing the final packaging. They included WEP's TM's that look to be simply cut and pasted from the GX-71 box. You can find them all if you go back through the thread. That's what makes this so insane. The original V. 1 was technically a Bootleg, but a real borderline one that would be a hard and expensive one to prove, thus not worth anybodies time. It would fall within the same grey areas as 3p Transformers. The IP holder has to deliver a C&D and then prove to a judge the points of similarity to a sufficient degree to prove their copyright. Only then could they even begin to get relief. It's a years long expensive fight to no real benefit or relief with a Chinese manufacturer. But for V. 2, They put Voltron on the box. They put WEP's Trademarks on the Box and in the published marketing materials. That line "TM and "Copyright" World Events Productions LM under license to Classic Media LLC" in fine print. At that point WEP doesn't have to prove any points of similarity. It doesn't even matter what the robot looks like. It's trademark infringement. It's a Bootleg and customs would consider it as not simply infringing but counterfeit. All WEP need do is file an affidavit stating that it is NOT their product but bears their marks. It's nuts! And at this point it doesn't even matter if they change the box. They used the fake TM on their official marketing materials. It's still up on their Facebook page today in several spots. It's not an "oops" it's madness. Why would you do that?

I'm exiting conversation about it as calling efforts "bootlegs" because they aren't licensed is dismissive to the efforts of the designers of said products and really bugs the f**k out of me.
Someone please tag me if there's actual product news at some point.

I wouldn't trust anything that douche says. If he is so honest he would have returned my money that he stole from me already.
